She's a growing girl and maybe her tummy is hungry!
She unfortunately doesn't have the ability to go get a midnight snack like we do so she's depending on you. Give her a bottle and see how that works. Or just let her come sleep with you for a few nights. For whatever reason, she's waking up and is unhappy. She's 6 months old and needs her mom. I know you want your sleep too but stop trying to push her aside and try to get to the root of the problem. Maybe she needs a nightlight, maybe her room got cold (or too hot), maybe her tummy hurts...or maybe she just needs mommy right next to her.

My 6 month old daughter did that same thing last night. I think it was a nightmare because she cried very loud in her sleep then did it a 2nd time and I think it woke her up and scared her. It took me an hour to calm her down then she slept fine the rest of the time. She is also teething so it could have been part of it also. But I think it was a nightmare....I wouldn't let her cry it out if she is crying hysterically. Just calm her down and put her back in bed. Make sure she isnt teething also....

It is most likely a phase, or it could be nightmares. Children that young can suffer from them. It could also be seperation anxiety. Something causes them to wake up in the middle of the night and when they notice that mommmy and daddy aren't there, they panic and cry.
You can tr talking to her pediatrician and see what else they have to say on it. It could also be a sleeping disorder that is only present in infants and younger children. I am sure that her doctor will have some advice.

It might be something wrong with her. My little girl started doing that and come to find out she had a ear ache and had an ear infection. And then another time she did that she had a slight fever. So take her temp, and if it's high, give her some tylenol and that should reduce the fever and check her temp in another hour. If she's still hot, go to the hospital.

She could be cutting a tooth. Put your fingure in her mouth and feel her gums. Is she irrated during the day? Try giving her a bottle with 2 Oz. Of rice cereal in her formula right before bed an if she is cutting a tooth then some tylonal or motrin as well.

round this time they commence having really aims, inspite of in the adventure that they don't look to be scary aims it truly is an rather new element and frequently scares toddlers.(hence the crying and screaming until eventually eventually she knows she is threat-free on your hands)...they get use to dreaming finally ..

My little girl has done the same thing that you described, my fix was I rearranged her feeding schedule and increased the cereal and milk. I was basically starving her as she was waking up due to hunger. Good luck!!!

Could be a nightmare or night terrors? My son had both and he'd scream to the top of his lungs!
