until your doctor discharges you ; about 6 weeks with possible weight restriction thereafter for a period of time; it is surgery and your body just went through pregnancy and surgery; take it easy and let your body heal and give yourself the time to recoup. Health is nothing to fool around with

I had a c-section with my first daughter and I was also a server at a very high volume restaurant. I had no choice but to go back after three weeks. It was against medical advise but we were broke as could be. I didn't suffer from it either. But I was the lucky woman that had a c-section and got to come home on the second day after surgery. I did incredibly well and my body handle the whole thing well. I would seriously ask your obgyn and get completely checked out. I know that after you have a baby you need the money really bad but please do not go back until they release you to return to work.

The general maternity leave time is 6 weeks, this is for natural and c-section. However, every employer is different some will give 8 weeks, and teachers get 90 days in some places. Talk to your work and see what their maternity leave time is. If you feel you need more time than 6 weeks go to your doctor and get a medical excuse, then contact your work tell them you will have to increase you paternity leave by however long because "doctor said so", you are not ready!

Usually you'll be out for at least 6 weeks to 8 weeks, depending on how you are healing and what your dr thinks.Don't rush it though, I ended up with major hernias and had to go in for surgery 3 months after my kid was born. Don't lift anything other than your baby. Nothing heavy!

MAYBE as early as 6 weeks, but with such a physically demanding job, it's probably going to be closer to 8-10.

for a c-section you get anywhere from 6-8 weeks after delivery so get as much rest as you can with such a demanding schedule

I went back after three and it was a big mistake very painful (server) so I would say ask your Dr. at your six week check-up.

That's for your doctor to decide, but usually, 8 weeks, as long as you don't get any infections.
