My 1 week old baby seems to favor his ride side. When he is in his stroller or his car seat he always leans to the right. I try to correct his head and he just goes right back to the same position. Does anyone else have this issue or heard of this. Is it his neck muscles developing??? I'm concerned. I told the doctor but he said his spine is straight.

Take a breath mom! This is normal, babies kind of "squish" to one side, it's just the way they are. As he gets stronger and has more control over his muscles and body, he will straighten up. Breath in, breath out...and enjoy it!

My first son had a condition called torticollis. He only wanted to look to the right and it was difficult or uncomfortable for him to turn his head to the left. It's something to do with the neck muscles being tighter on one side. Even when he was sleeping he would only have his head turned towards the right. It ended up creating a flat spot on the back of his head. He had physical therapy for his neck and ended up getting a cranio cap, like a helmet, to help mold his skull bones into the proper shape. He is four now and is fine you can't really tell where the flat spot was. If you are concerned about it by all means get a second opinion.

It is very normal for an infant to favor one side or the other . Nothing to worry about. Only thing is when laying the infant in the crib. You should change the side you lay the baby on because his head could become misshapen and even that after he is older will straighten itself out

It could be a muscle issue from when he was in the womb or during birth, if he had his head squished off to one side for the last month or so, or during birth. And while I have never tried it many of the moms in my parenting group swear by craniosacral therapy. It is very gentle, it might be worthing looking into. Or chiropractic care.

It is probably temporary.

When you feed him use both sides. Switch them out. Like if he's laying his back sit on his left side and hold the bottle and vice versa. If your not careful he will end up with a flat spot on the right side of his head. It is normal for babies to favor one side or the other.
