my son is 8 weeks old and has a sensetive stomach, so we were advised to use Good Start because it is made of 100% whey protiens instead of casein protiens, which can upset a lot of baby's tummies. plus, it is less expensive than the similac and enfamil. my nurse also said the generic brands, such as Parents Choice (walmart brand), Target brand, and Fred Meyer are just fine to use. But its really all about what your baby prefers and tolerates best.

Nestle Good Start. I just started supplementing my 3 1/2 month old daughter's diet with formula since I'm going back to work soon and it's the only one she doesn't spit out. I tried Similac Advanced as well as two different types of Enfamil and she HATED them all. Refused to eat and screamed when I offered her the bottle. She's not wild about the Nestle Good Start but she takes it. It also doesn't smell bad to me like the other brands did. It actually smells a little bit like breastmilk.

I used the Parents Choice concentrated liquid with iron. It's the Walmart brand of formula similar to Similac Advance but a lot less expensive.

I had to use a soy based formula, daughter had sensitive stomach. Usually used the concentrated formula, unless I was going someplace, then I took ready to eat.

Enfamil Gentlease Lipil

It's made to help with fussiness or gas. But since it is thicker than regular formula it also helps with GERD.
