She was running a 101 fever today. She had tubes put in her ears on Monday. Today she would not eat and at lunch she was sitting there like something was wrong when the babysitter went to go check on her my babys arm was stiff and cold and jerking and her fingers was drawing up. I took her to the DR. and he said her fever was 102.6 and one of her ears was a little red again. But the stuff about her arm was nothing to worry about. I'm not so sure about that. Do you think her potassim(?) may be low?

Even if this was a febrile seizure, if it happens again you need to take her to the ER right away. Even febrile seizures can cause neurological damage. Keep her fever down with Tylenol and Motrin and keep a close eye on her.

She could have been having a febrile seizue due to the high temp. It is scarry, but not uncommon in young children. Is she taking anitbiotics or does the dr. want to see if her system can fight off the bug without anything? If so, some infant's Tylenol or Motrin will help keep her comfortable.

Go get a second opinion for the sake of your child's well being. I work with special needs children and what you described in your question is a seizure and if your dr. didn't think anything of it then you have a horrible dr. and you need to find a new dr. for your child. Keep a close eye on her and document everything you see for another dr.

i would say it was a febrile seizure but just to be on the safe side i would keep an eye on her and see if it happens again, if it does take her straight to the emergency room and tell them she is having seizures

sounds like she may have had febrile seizures which is caused by a high temp and is no cause for alarm
