I use my teeth to get the foil started! I totally know where your coming from.. it can be very aggravating especially when your in a hurry and it finally rips open and splatters orange carrots all over your new shirt.... GRRRR

I had a hard time with them at first but after practicing I learned out to do it so that I didn't splash food all over myself. I guess I didn't really notice until now but if you are having that hard of a time with them you should switch.
I learned if you just take a knife and slice the top and then pull back the sides it's much easier. This way you aren't tugging away at something that is still air tight. Good Luck!

Yes! Everytime I would open the plastic tubs....they splash all over the place! I quit buying them.

Yes, I have to use my teeth to start a corner, while being careful not to slober in her food and contaminate it. Very annoying.
