My 7-month-old LOVES prunes. We had a bit of trouble getting him to eat solids but he has always gladly eaten prunes.
The problem is...they make him EXPLODE! This does not bother me too much (aside from the huge amount of laundry I have to do!) but I do think that it sometimes becomes a problem for my sister who watches him during the day along with her two young children. It is quite a mess to clean up especially when there are two other kids running around.
So my question is, should I deprive my son of his favorite food? And is it bad for him to have so many of these explosive poops?

I have read a few books on feeding and sleeping routines for infants. A few of them have suggested that you dream feed your infant between 10 and 11pm, without waking them up. I have tried this and it seems my four month old wakes up earlier now for a feeding. I have also read that you should actually wake them up at around that time to feed them, then put them right back down to bed.

Has anyone tried either of these techniques? My daughter is waking up a few times during the night now instead of just once a night like she used to and I just need to know if I'm doing something wrong.

Any advice would be helpful. Also what time is a good time to start her bedtime routine at each night. We recently started putting her to bed earlier, so could that be why she's waking up more?

I have been what appears to be somewhat hindering my 9 mth old son's progress in pulling up. He can stand when I stand him up and cruise with some assistance. He can't pull to stand yet, I think because he crawls to me and I just stand him up for him. I am scared he will fall and smash his head, so I stay with him while he stands and brace him, so he basically assumes there will always be a safety net of my arms.

What if he fell from standing and hit his head? Would it be enough to give him a concussion or something?

usually around 2:30 or 3:00 and going right back to sleep. The last week he is waking up every hour or two. He is trying to roll over and when she goes in his room, he is on his side. Also she only gives him formula, no cereal. I wonder if maybe he is ready for more to eat. He is a big baby already over 15 lbs. This is driving her crazy because he was doing so well. Any suggestions from anyone else who has gone through this.

Is there something you brought for baby and never used, didn't get on with, or just found something better to do the job.

I brought a baby carrier that never came out of the box.

For me it was my microwave steriliser. I spent the first 2 months washing in cold water steriliser, and really did my hands in.

Another item I loved was my Baby sleeping bag/Grobag. Once baby is 6 weeks or so they start to kick off the covers, but this stops that from happening. In the end my daughter had trouble sleeping without hers, as she did not feel as snug, so my Mum had to make a summer weight one for her.

I can't decide if ought to give my boy suck a pacifier. he's only a month old. Sometimes, he starts to cry after less than 1hour after we breastfed him and will not sleep after feeding. He moves his mouth, seems looking for somethings to suck. Normally, fed babies can last 2-3hrs before next feeding. Worried that i might have over feed him cos, always offer him milk whenever he cries. Would a pacifier help him? Pls advice, cos read about disadvantages of using pacifiers.

My son is 6 months old now. He has had "sticky" right eye since he was 3 months old. The health visitot told me it was nothing to worry about, that it would go when he gets stronger. On our recent holiday it became worse than usuall(his eye kept filling with pus constantly), so we went to see doctor, which gave us antiseptic eye drops and advised we should go for proper examination when we get back to UK. We did go to see doctor, but just got another bottle of eye drops. Did any of you have similar trouble? Should I be worried?
