I've never heard that a woman is more fertile after giving birth and I think that is an old wives tale. While it is most certainly true that a woman can get pregnant 6 weeks after giving birth, the chances are actually pretty slim. If you are nursing, your hormone levels will prevent you from having a period for at least a couple of months and because of this there is a good chance that you won't ovulate either. However, there are lots of siblings out there who are a year of less apart so it can happen. If you haven't already had your six week follow-up with your OBGYN, make an appointment and tell him/her of your concerns, he/she will be more than capable of suggesting and prescribing a more dependable form of birth control. Congratulations on the new baby!

Well the first thing to do is make sure you head to your nearest pharmacy and take the 72 hour pill, which will stop any pregnancy from happening early. Then I would go visit your doctor and double check after about a week and a half and have him do a pregnancy test.....Good luck

first, you are no more fertile now than before. you should have wrapped up bleeding 2-3 weeks ago unless you had a c/section.
more than likely you are ok, due to the semen being down in the condom. just have to wait and see what your cycle is. are you breastfeeding? this can suppress ovulation.

Taking a morning after pill is still abortion. Do you really want to kill an innocent baby?

it's called Planned Parenthood. find the nearest one to your home and go there now! you can get birth control there and get tested for pregnancy, and take the emergency contraceptive if they have it available. your gyno may have some, call the office immediately. NOW!

If you're breastfeeding then it's very very unlikely that you'll get pregnant. If you aren't then get the morning after pill immediatly!!!!!
