My daughter is almost 13 months old and has been a voracious eater since we started table foods with vegetables and fruit being her favorite things. She often eats more than I would expect but for the last 2 weeks she seems to have lost her appetite for food and has upped her nursing sessions to every couple of hours. I was hoping to start cutting back on her nursing. Is this normal? Should I just let her nurse on demand? I also recently started trying to add some whole milk to her diet and so far she has totally refused it. I am a little concerned because she is anemic and has lost a pound in the last month. She went from 19.05 pounds to 18.04 pounds. Her Pediatrician just said I need to up the iron rich foods or start her on a vitamin for the iron. Anybody else have a baby that was eating great and then just stopped for no real reason? She had a check up last week and nothing else was amiss. Thanks for your help!

Dear Mommy, From Baby

I know you think you didn't love me
I understand... you had to believe
That awful day ... you threw me away
Or perhaps you would have let me stay
But look deep inside... so you will see
The love you've always felt for me
I know you think I don't love you
I couldn't... you think... but I do
Just as you have always loved me
I have always love you, too
Jesus taught me what love could mean
Mommy... Learn... and on Jesus lean

I am obsessed with having a baby. Most of my friends and family have at least one kid. I went to 3 baby showers in October and I had two this month and 1 next month. I am always browsing in the yahoo, pregnancy section to see what I have to look forward too. When I go to Target or Walmart I always browse in the baby section. When I was shopping for my friends baby shower I took forever just to pick out the perfect gift. I am not even with my husband anymore, we are separated and trying to work things out. Is this a mental disorder or something? How do you get treatment for something like this? There is too many newborns around me and I can't just ignore them.

I have a coworker that just got the final approval to adopt a baby. The baby (a girl) is 14 months old and will be here from Guatamala in a few weeks. We want to have a baby shower for her (she doesn't have any other kids). Any sugestions on what to call the event or things that we can do during the party since this isn't a "normal" baby shower?

I was looking online and I noticed that Walmart has 1 hour baby announcements, and I was unsure of the quality of them. I want something really nice to send out, and I don't have much money to spend on them. I want one that I can put the baby picture on. Anyone know of any other online/stores that has good quality cheap ones? Or are Walmart ones good?

He alrady has 2 teeth. He is breastfeeding three times a day and getting 2 bottles a day at daycare. I think he's biting because that's what he's used to doing with the bottles, and he's probably teething. I really don't want to give up nursing yet, but it's really painful. When he does it, I pull him off and say a firm "no" but it seems like he doesn't get it.

After every feed, milk/ juice/ food. Everything!!
Seems to be developing in all other ways, only thing slightly odd as he's still so young is he sleeps for roughly 10mins over the course of a whole day!
Most babies need more than this dont they?
