I have breastfed my baby for almost four months now and I have had a period every month. I read in books that if you breastfeed, you aren't supposed to have a period.

Every time I mix my son's formula, it gets a lot of air bubbles that are nearly impossible to get rid of, even if I let the bottle sit for a few minutes. I've also tried putting his gas drops in with it, but it doesn't make that big of a difference. Any suggestions?

my 7 month old son suffers with flat head syndrome due to lying him on his back to prevent sudden infant death syndrome. All the websites i have seen recommend helmets or straps, but i was just wandering if anyone had let nature take its cause and did there little ones head shape correct itself naturally. Worried to bits about this!

When my daughter was born 5 days later she started bleeding...has anyone had that happen? The doctor told me it's nothing to be worried about...she explained it's because at the time in my womb my daughter's hormones were elevated like mine and I would have begun my period. I just want to know if anyone has had that happen...I'm not worried but just want to get a tally on this occurence...Please no long stories that aren't related to this.

I am pregnant with my 3rd boy. When he is born, my oldest will be 6 and my other little guy will be 2 1/2. Should this new baby get a shower? Ive been doing a lot of reading & some people think its completely acceptable; others think its just not done. Without even asking for a shower, my step-mom said that she wouldnt throw me one. In her opinion its just not appropriate. To me that sounds like shes saying this baby is not as important or worthy of a party, gifts, etc. The thing is, my first two boys didnt have nice things to begin with or they are getting old. I rcvd a new travel system for my 1st son, which was passed down to my 2nd. The thing is now 6-years-old & really worn. Our 1st crib was used, cheap & didnt last long. Our 2nd crib was used too & is not in good shape. The hand-me-down bassinette I used for both of them fell apart long ago. I also was not expecting to get pregnant again, so I no longer have any baby clothes (Im not a pack-rat). Thoughts? Opinions?

I am planning on taking the full term of maternity leave however would like to quit completely. One income is not an option for us so I would have to work some time. Can anyone suggest part-time options for new parents? Daycare is not an option, makes me sick to think about it so, I need some suggestions for ways to have some sort of income to contribute. Thanks much!!

I have a 3 month old daughter who has not had a bowel movement since early tuesday morning. I called her doctors office to ask how long I should let her go etc. They suggested using Karo syrup mixed with water. Has anyone else done this to ease their babys constipation? If so did it work? How long did it take?

I just love to give my 11-month old daughter hugs and kisses, but she seems to dislike/get frustrated at the affection. (It seems like she's been this way in the past too, generally.) Is this normal?

My 9 month old has lost interest in solid feeding. He used to have more solids and less milk when he was 7 mo. After 7 mo. he started teething and then he was sick for about 2 weeks. Now he seems fine - but still doesn't want solids. I'm clueless what's happening?

My daughter is almost 8 months and she doesnt even attempt to crawl when i put her on her tummy. Should I worry? From what I understand some babies never crawl. So how old was your baby when they crawled and took their first steps?

My 7 month old is a big boy. 26 inches 23 pounds at his appointment yesterday and now we need a new carseat as he has outgrown his infant one. In prep for this I have spent the last month researching and I have pretty much setteled on the Combi Avatar. It has all the features I want and comes highly recommended. Most importantly it reclines well my family is 2 hours away and we visit frequently. Also we make a 12 hour trip to Ohio atleast once a year to my husband's family. My son has to be reclined pretty well to sleep other than that he's a good sleeper. I have heard though these are pretty bulky seats but I know someone who says she had very little trouble fitting one in a geo prizm. I drive a ford focus (not a hatchback) and there is very lttle rear seat space. Anyone out there have any insight on Combi Avatar carseat??

My baby is teething and already chewed a piece of the rail.
Any suggestions?

My son is 3 months and we want to have professional photos taken. Can you recommend a photo studio. Who does the best job for the best price. Someone recommended the photo studio at Babies R Us because they let you buy the cd with all the photos. Which company has the best packages? Has anyone had a bad experience?

I am due in March, and need insurance for my baby. I am on my fathers insurance. We were going to put the baby on my boyfriends insurance, but his company won't give it to him till about a month after she's already born. How do I get insurance for my daughter. I don't want to have to go through the government. Is there another way to get it?
