I am the same way. I do not want to put my daughter in daycare. What I had to do was work a 3rd shift job. 12am-7am. My fiancee or my mother would have the baby at night. Yes we would be tired. Especially me working all night and being up all day with baby was rough, but I did what I had to do to avoid daycare. You sleep when baby sleeps during the day. Good luck to you with what you decide to do!

Unfortunately i was in the same position as you are in but had no choice but to go back to work. The only suggestion i could make is to have a part time day care out of your home. My friend does that. Alot of the kids in her daycare the moms are stay at home moms that just sometimes need a break. She gets the extra money that she wants and still gets to stay home with her son

Another idea is to be an afternoon day care provider. In other words, some parents in your area might would rather have an after school home for their children to come to. That way, you just have kids for about 3 hours in the afternoons. The school bus would drop them off. If you only take in older children, you can help them with their homework, or offer a good snack and a movie or safe outdoor playtime. :) If you are a good seamstress you could do alterations.

If you want to do medical billing at home you first need to take the classes for such and earn a certificate. There are rules and regulations concerning the privacy act that you HAVE to learn as well as medical terminology, in order to be able to proplerly bill insurance companies.
The only other option would be to take courses in early childhood education/nursing/pschology get licensed and open your own day care.

I am a stay at home mom. I have a couple of things to throw your way.
1. Childcare--care for a child in your home. You get to most importantly be at home w/ your child. You are in your home, not interrupting your newborns schedule/ routine. You get cash, no need for expensive wardroble, no need for lunch out, gas $. You also get experience from other child(ren) to use w/ your newborn. & you get $$$$. Childcare pays well too, unless you are making big money now.
2. If you want out of the house, do those sales parties. There is pampered chef, interior decorators,... A couple nights a week, not gone much from family, & make @$100 a night.
I have done both. I am home w/ my children-the most important to me. & I am still able to bring in money.

There are many options, it would help if you say what your job is currently and what training you have. Obviously, the best would be if you could continue with your current employer part-time, have you talked with them about the possibility?
