When my daughter was born 5 days later she started bleeding...has anyone had that happen? The doctor told me it's nothing to be worried about...she explained it's because at the time in my womb my daughter's hormones were elevated like mine and I would have begun my period. I just want to know if anyone has had that happen...I'm not worried but just want to get a tally on this occurence...Please no long stories that aren't related to this.

It's normal, it's from your hormones.

You're doctor is right. There is nothing to worry about many baby girls experience bleeding after birth and it is due to the hormones when she was in the womb.

It's normal for little girls to bleed a little- it is true about the hormones. My newborn son also got erections all the time. I was scared to put his diaper on- I thought I might bend it. It will pass.

It did not happen to my daughter but I have read that it does happen because of the hormones.

Yes I have heard of this. It has to do w/ hormone level. If you talked to DR., thats great too. If happens more I would see Dr. But Yes I have heard of it, & no worries.

Yes, it is normal. My daugther did not get the period, but she was very swollen down there and had mini breast. I called my midwife who told me the same thing, and it cleared up all on it's own.
