He is three months and daddy will not let him sleep outside of the room. I just don't want him to get used to sleeping in the same room and have to break him of it when he older.

My ten-month daughter sometimes has a strange vibrating reaction. It has happened on numerous occasions when she has eaten spicy food like hot sauce. (Yes, I know I will get lots of people telling me not to let her eat spicy food, but we have a large family and all love spicy food. There is so much of it around and like babies will do she just grabs at what she wants sometimes) Anyway, she does a shivering that sort of looks like someone who is really cold but puts both hands up (not cuddled up againsts herself). Her expression is also like someone who is shivering with cold and she looks right in my eyes like she is trying to communicate - so maybe it is just "Hey mom that's too hot!" But she also did it when she had some ice cream and another time when she was laughing and had not eaten anything she suddenly did it. It lasts a good five or six seconds and when I call her name or try to distract her from it she doesn't stop. However, when it is over, she seems perfectly normal.

I have a 4 mo old son (first time mom) I find that I don't keep up on his baby book or have any interest in filling it out. I just wanted to know what other peoples opinions were. And does your in-laws give you crap about it since it's not being kept up? How do you deal with them? I personally feel that pictures are priceless. Thanks for any serious answers.

Ever since she got over her bad cold 3 weeks ago shes thrown her daily routine out the window. She used to nap every 3 hours now its anywhere from every 1 1/2 to 6 hours and it takes over an hour to get her down for a nap. When she goes to bed at night she wakes up an hour later seemingly ready to start a new day then wakes again at 5 in the morning for a bottle then goes back to sleep then wakes up at her usual time. She wont eat more than 15 ounces of formula a day (including the 5 am feeding) not matter how hard i try and shes cranky all day long. Shes normally a very good and pleasant baby. Im confused, frustrated, and exhausted please give any advice!!!

.. she is a tiny bomb of activity and refuses to sleep for more than 6 hrs in a day of 24!! What I want to ask is, whether a pacifier is safe to use?? I am being told that the pacifier causes gas troubles in the baby's stomach and also induces rised and uneven teeth. Is there any reliable source of info' or website, where I can verify about the safety of pacifiers?? Thank you all...

My two month old who hasn't been sleeping for more than an hour or so at a time during the day is asleep all day today.. since yesterday he hasn't been 'himself' crying and wanting to be in my arms then falling straight back to sleep, he is usually happy lying in his pram. He doesn't have a temp. Should I be worried? even more worried than I am now that is..

I'm the proud mother of a 6 week old, and I was wondering how I can get his days and nights right again because he has them mixed up. How can I get him to take his longer 4-5 hour nap during the night instead of during the day?

when my daughter was 5 mths i started her on rice cereal she loved it...as she got older though,i became very worried that she would choke it was my biggest fear so she was having custards and cereals and all that but as far as biscuits and toast went i couldnt do it i was terrified .... a friend who has lots of kids kinda made me feel like i was doing the wrong thing because i wasnt giving her sandwiches at the age of 7 mth i was too scared to even give her soft steamed carrot! but then a while later i just wasnt scared anymore and she was eating everything she is two now and she eats just like every other 2 yr old.. she will even eat stir fry's for me....obviously its not an issue anymore i just wanted to hear other mothers thoughts on this as im trying to fall again and i know im going to be as scared the second time as i was the first so when did you start giving your little ones toast, biscuits and stuff?????

Our baby will be 1 month this Sunday and my husband had the first 3 weeks off to help me with the baby. He told me if I needed anything to ask him, but every time I'd ask him for something he'd huff and puff about it, so I'd say never mind I'll do it myself. Now that he went back to work he hasn't helped me at all...he says hes tired when he gets home from work. I tell him I'm tired and haven't slept yet, but he says "what do you mean you're tired? You've been sitting around the house all day!" even though I'm constantly taking care of the baby.

Just 30 mins ago the baby woke us up crying, and I had to go to the bathroom so I asked my husband to watch him while I did that. So I got to the bathroom (and I can hear the baby screaming the whole time) and I go back in the room and he put the baby in the bed with him and went back to sleep (put his pillow over his own head so he wouldn't have to hear the baby scream)...I just can't take it and I'm getting stressed, what should I do?

My little girl is 2 weeks old. Her father wants to take her for an overnight visit to see his parents. We are not currently "together". I can't bear the thought of spending an entire night away from her this soon. He says I'm being selfish. Advice?

My 2 week old little girl will eat for about 10 minutes, fall asleep for about 10, then wake up wanting to eat again. She does this several times during her feedings. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
