Maybe she is allergic to the formula. Take her to the doctor.

Hello there.
What ever you do, do NOT give an infant vodka for any reason. That person is a sick-o.
My advice would be to try to relactate so that you can breastfeed your baby which is what you should have been doing all along.
Are you sure that she does not have Pyloric-stenosis? My son had that and in spite of the fact that he was strictly breastfed he did have projectile vomiting.
Take your baby to the Pediatrician and find out what is wrong.
If you can not breast feed for some reason at least try different kinds of formula. There might be one that she could tolerate.
It would seem to be that if your first baby was sickly you should have known to try breastfeeding. It is not too late if your baby is only 4 months old. Contact the La Leche League, they have a web site also. I am surprised that your doctor did not mention breast feeding to you. Mine certainly would have.
Good luck
Lady Trinity

There must be a reason behind your baby being sick like that...take her to the doctor.

you could also try feeding her less more often. Is she formula fed? Because there is a new formula out (I think it is simulac) that is made for babies who throw up alot. You could try that and see if that helps. Maybe you are just feeding her too much, too fast. Does she gulp it down? My daughter (almost 3 months)sucks her 6 oz bottle dry without stopping for a burp in like 5 mins...then throws it up. I have to stop her in the middle or not let her get that hungry (it is mainly her morning bottle cause she sleeps 7 1/2 hours at night).

Anyway, I hope you get this figured out cause it's not nice for either you or your baby :)

please dont give your baby vodka as suggested above how silly it sounds totally normal to me i have a 6 month old little girl who was exactly the same and more however she to put on plenty of weight. if you take her to the docs or peadi they will tell you there is nothing wrong with her and there probly isnt its very common in babies what you explaining its a weakness in the osophagus forget what its called it will strengthen with age my daughter still throws up a bit but is alot better at nearly 7 months then when she was 4 months old i think she was the worse around then.
another thing to consider is weather she may be lactose intolerant does she have projectile green poos at all.
hope some of this helped just remember 6 wet nappies/diapers a day and gaing weight and she is fine its just the trials and tribulations of motherhood it wont be for ever goodluck feel free to email me if you have any further concerns.

try using a SOY BASED FORMULA. your baby could be reacting to the formula you are using.

You should have mentiond this to the pediatrician by now when you took the baby for the regular checkups.

I think you should take your baby to the pediatrician, it might be something medically wrong, since she has gained weight even when she is puking constantly.

I would try another formula maybe that would cut down on the spitting up.
