After every feed, milk/ juice/ food. Everything!!
Seems to be developing in all other ways, only thing slightly odd as he's still so young is he sleeps for roughly 10mins over the course of a whole day!
Most babies need more than this dont they?

someone tell my little bambino that, he's 14wks and never seems to sleep. All babies are different, he may be allergic to the formula - this is very common. Is he gaining weight okay? He's definately not lethargic so he's not dehydrated. If you are really concerned, call your health visitor, they prefer to be harrassed than not.

I would say the throwing up is not normal. you should call your doctor. My son was staying up most of the day at 8 months. He did take a 2 hour nap. he would go down at about 11:00 am or 12:00. Then he would go to bed at about 7:30. I've been lucky. He still has pretty much the same schedule and he's 16 months.

It sounds as though the valve on the oesophagus is not working properly.
This would explain the vomiting BUT you need to have the baby checked as soon as possible!

The sleeping is probably more than you think but the child dozes rather than going into a deep sleep. The nights are the important part, not the days.

Please take your child to the doctors for the vomiting, it can be taken care of by an additive put with the fluids so that it is harder to make 'the return trip'.
If this is not the case then the child NEEDS to be seen as it may be more serious!

REMEMBER ---- DOCTORS!!! EMERGENCY ROOM OR GP BUT GO TO ONE VERY VERY SOON!!!

He needs to see his ped's dr! He could have a condition called acid reflux (like heartburn) in newborns and infants. My son always threw up everything, then he was put on zantac and it went away! Eventually, if taken care of by seeing a dr they can outgrow it! Advise the parents that you "think" that he should see a dr about his problem with eating. It could be what he's eating too that's causing him to get sick! Yes, he should be sleeping more than just 10 mins also, unless he's a very light sleeper and is around a lot of noise or disturbances. Try rocking him to sleep in a quiet room to see if this helps.

The best thing you can do is take him to a pediatrician for evaluation. It is not normal for a baby to sleep for only 10 minutes, most babies sleep quite frequently especially when they are that young.

If your child is vomiting after eating or drinking, something is definately wrong especially that frequently.

If it is just spitting up, that is probably normal. You should really have him checked.

I wish you the best of luck:)

Is he throwing up copious amounts or is it 'positing' - small amounts of milk or food after each feed? It looks horrid but positing is quite normal however it is worth getting him checked out just in case.

As for the sleeping - each baby is different and if he doesn't need the sleep then he won't. When I was a baby if my parents let me sleep for 10 minutes i the day I wouldn't sleep at night so they had to keep me awake.

You say he isn't yours - who does he belong to and are you concerned about any other aspects of his life?

Has the child been to the Doctors? As with my 9 month old granddaughter, she has reflux disease, so she does throw up most formulas, however is out growing it. As for the sleeping, it depends on where the child is sleeping. Is it in their own crib? In their own room? it depends on the atmosphere. If there is alot of noise in the background that can disturb a child too.

Call the doctor and get expert advise. He could lactose intolerant, and therefore vomiting the milk back. I raised 5 kids all grown now and never had a problem and yes they took a nap during the day. So best advice would be to contact your doctor, maybe his formula needs to be changed unless your breast feeding.

He definitely needs to go to the doctor. He could have a case of GERD which is acid reflux. My daughter had this. He is probably not sleeping because when you lay him down the stomach acid starts coming up and hurts and makes him uncomfortable. I would take him to the doctor as soon as possible. They will probably give him Zantac and/or Reglan and he will be alot more comfortable and the throwing up should reduce.

Is this something that has just been for the last couple days, or is this normal? If your child is puking that much, he is at a huge risk of dehydration... and yes they should sleep about 14 hours a day.

You need to get a professional opinion ASAP.

Having worked with toddlers of each age, i might want to say that that is truly regularly occurring. From my adventure, you may anticipate this to proceed for somewhat a even as. in many cases the variety of cases a newborn has a BM will start up to chop back between 2 and three years previous. once you're in touch regardless of the reality that, ask your newborn's pediatrician...by no ability damage to be confident.
