My babe started coughing a little yesterday. I thought she might have just "figured out" how to do it and was practicing. Last night and this morning she's congested but not so bad that she can't nurse but I can hear it when she breathes through her nose.

Since I am breastfeeding, is there anything I can eat to help fend off this cold?

My husband watches our four month old most nights when I go to work. About the time I leave, she starts to cry. Acording to my husband, the rest of the night she is inconsolable and crying hysterically and he has tried everything to calm her down (rocking, singing, cartoons on t.v., feedings, diaper changes, etc.) But the minute I pick her up, she stops crying. My husband is taking this pretty hard and I don't want him to be discouraged. Has anyone else experienced this before and what was the problem, then outcome? All opinions welcomed, even if you are not yet a parent.

I am having problems getting the great gift for my 9 mo. old baby. She has a brother(3)All the toys are so similar that they are the same. Her grand parents have gotten her all the cool stuff. She has all her brother's hand me downs. I am giving them to toys for tots. She doesn't seem interested in any thing but the box.

I live in Ventura County and have lots of extra newborn and 0-3 month stuff. I know about the salvation army and thrift shops in the area, but I was hoping to give to a person directly. Or to a charity that will give it to someone in need for free.

I am a college student and I'm trying to figure out should I put my daughter in day care. I really don't want to do it because I don't want anyone to abuse her. She is my only child and I love her with my whole heart. And I feel that I want her to be around someone that I know will treat her right. This last semester my aunt, my parents, her father, or my grandmother kept her. Now I want to go back to work, but her father says no because he do not want anyone to mistreat her. So he wants me stay home with her.

I want my first girl's name to be Elena Nakia but i don't know what to name my baby if i have a boy. I want an unusual or not-so-common name that would sound good with a sister named Elena. I had recently took my baby for her routine exams and she is usually pretty good after she gets her shots, she doesnt usually get fussy during the next following days. But this time a few days after her shot she seems sick and in discomfort. I asked the nurse if the flu shot would give her side effects and she said no. I asked my Mom and she said she never accepted the flu shot for any of her kids and I shouldnt have done it. Im confused. My daughter does not seem happy at all and is not sleeping regularly either. I have given her some infant tylenol drops but they didnt seem to help much. Should I even go back again for the 2nd shot? Please help. 1st time Mother with deep conserns.
