I play with them and the other babies want my attention... I only treat and love them equally. I do watch the quint babies.

My husband and I had our 21 week ultrasound and we are having a boy! :-) He does have a cleft lip, the lip only; the palate is not affected. Is there anyone who knows of a support group in CA or a good website for looking up information? I meet with my doctor on Monday, but i don't want to wait that long to do some research! :-)

I think this is a controversial subject,
I saw a mom show on TV where the ladies asked a doctor what he thinks of home birth.
He said "get your emails ready at home but I think they should be outlawed. we strap our kids in seatbelts for the 1 in 20,000 chance that we could get in an accident, if something goes wrong in the birth there is no medical care ready to save the baby.
One baby that dies is one baby too many. You never know what will happen with a birth."

Personally I agree,... homebirth was something I did not even consider.

what do you think?

My baby is 7 weeks today and we went for a check up yesterday. He is 25th percentile in height, 10th percentile in weight and 5th percentile in head circumferance. I am worried that he has not gained much. I am giving him only expressed breast milk whenever he is hungry. Should I start supplementing with formula? Also I will be starting work next week and plan to continue pumping milk for my baby. Please provide your valuable advice.

Baby was 6 lbs 8 oz at birth and 20 inches in height
At 7 weeks, he is 9lbs 5 oz and 22.5 inches height.

All the other babies I know take breastmilk and formula and are growing fast.

My daughter in law is pregnant and had a shower, has all the major products and I don't know what she might need. It has been too many years since I had a newborn around. I was thinking diapers and flour sack dish rags for spit up! I'd appreciate ideas from any new mothers who thought they had everything they could need and what they were missing when the time really came!

She just had our baby like 2 days ago and all she really seems to be doing is sleeping and taking care of her. It's so boring cuz she pays no attention to me anymore. All i can really do for her is change diapers(which im never doing cuz its nasty) cuz she breastfeeds so there goes feeding the baby.

my son is 3 months pld and bottle fed with Allimentum (very expensive). he was breastfed for the 1st 6 weeks but we found he is lactose and soy intolerant, hence the expensive formula. he has never taken a paci without us holding it in his mouth and now he screams when you hold it in there. just about every night, he goes into this uncontrolable cry session usually lasting about 3-4 hours. i think he has colic but the pediatrician says it's reflux. i don't agree because both my girls had reflux and never did this. my question is this..... The only thing that seems to calm him down is to let him latch on to my breast. I only produce a couple drops of milk now and he eats before hand so he is only using me for a paci. Do you think that this is okay? Will it make me start to produce milk again? We have tried everything else we can think of. nothing has worked so far except this. what would you do?

Shes fine all day long but when I breastfeed her in the evening after every feeding as soon as she stops eating she starts screaming. She doesn't scream indefinatly like its colic but its driving me nuts. I thought it might be gas so I've given her Milicon and bicycled her legs...but this is happening every night right around the same time. Any ideas?

My son is almost 4 months, (he's 16 wks but not 4 months) and we've been giving him rice cereal in his bottle 1-2 times a day (recommened by dr), and he seems to like it. I was just wondering if I should start right into baby food or try cereal still for a little while, and if I should use a feeder or a spoon. Also, is it ok to bathe him everyday now, or should I still be bathing him every other day?
