i think you should feed your baby when shes hungry, if she wants to eat more then 3 oz. then let her eat until shes full. she let you know how much to feed her and when she wants to eat.

Well you should breastfeed about 12 times a day or whenever the baby is hungry for about 10-15 minutes on each breast and if bottle feeding, every two ounces is one scoop of formula and thats about every 2.5 to 3 hours or whenever the baby is hungry. Hope this helped.

Ok, in the hospital the nurse told me that the only time a baby needs to eat every four hours is during the first 24 hours of life. After that you dont' need to wake them too eat.

A baby will wake when they are hungry. Now my daughter would be up on her own every three to four hours and drink 2-3 oz.

As for breast feeding you do it as often as they want it because you don't know the flow of the milk nor how much they are getting. If they are hungry feed them. If you are pumping then you know how many ounces to feed them...you don't stop them at a certain amount. They will quit when they are full.

It is normal for a baby to want to eat every few hours. They are growing.

My daughter is three months today and she still gets up every four hours to eat. Now she eats more than before. And the only time she sleeps for long periods is at night. The first initial bed time like 8-2. that is it. After wards she wants to eat at least every four hours.

u should feed her every 2 til 4 hours when i breastfeed my first born i would let him eat until he was full i would alternate breast as well during tha feeding 15mins on the right and 15mins on tha left and so on and so on....as for bottle feeding starting off by fixing her a 4 ounce bottle if when she is done with tha bottle and she still appears to be hungry feed her a lil more so you'll know next time exactly how many ounces to fix and again feed her every 3 til 4 hours

You follow her lead. Watch the baby, NOT the clock.

She'll probably want to nurse about every 2 hours still at this age. (But you can never nurse too much so if she seems to want to nurse before two hours are up, it's FINE to offer her the breast.) Sometime after her 6 week growth spurt she may begin to space her feedings out a bit more now.

The link below will give you an idea what is normal at this age.

At this age it's feed on demand. My daughter was eating every 1-3 hours at that age (she's breastfed). I really don't know how many ounces she drank because I don't weight my boob, lol, but my son would drink between 2 and 3 ounces when he was that young. He unfortunatly did not like nursing.

im not sure about bottle fed babys...but i have a soon to be 5 month son...i am breast feeding him and i do the feed on demand ....i feed him when he crys to be fed and as long as he wants to eat.....some people will tell you to feed every 2 ta 4 hours but some people (like me) think you should go on demand because the baby know when s/he is hungery and will cry if they really are...

Feed her when she cries. The best method for babies in the beginning is the "demand" method: they demand and you feed. Mine wanted to eat every 2 hours for a few weeks. They eat when they need too and they don't just snack or fool around. Sometimes they may want less then other times but they need the nourishment or they would not cry.

a baby that small will eat about 3 ounces at a feeding. some babies eat more and some eat less. she will let you know if she is still hungry. let her nurse as long as she is actively nursing. feed her whenever she is hungry. my son ate every 3 hours at that age.

I really depends on when your baby feels like eating that is how many times she should be eating. She should be eating every 2 to 3 hours.
