Every child is different, there is no set age for going to another stage of baby food. I am a mother of 3, very healthy children, and my children rarely ate "baby food". I can't tell you at what age they went into different types of food, all I can tell you is that I would give them something, watch them to see how they did with it, and go from there. All of my children were eating regular food by about 6 or 7 months. It may not have been what the doctors wanted, but like I said, I have 3 very healthy children. You can always make some instant mashed potatoes for your baby or if you are having some type of veggie, squash it up really good and feed it to the baby. You basically have to try it, watch them to make sure they are getting it down ok, and then you know yes, they are ready for it or no, maybe we should wait.
