At 3 months my daughter was 14 pounds, 4 months she was 16lbs. As long as they gain about 1-2 lbs a month they should be fine. They should have doubled their birth weight, unless preemie, by 6 months.

My daughter is 2 months and a half and she weighs 11 pounds and my sister is 5 months and she weighs 14 pounds. So, I would guess in between those two it would be fine.
