If he is exclusively breastfed and around 6 weeks or older, it is normal for them to skip days and maybe even only go once a week. (But LOOK OUT when they do go!) It's because there is very little waste with breastmilk.

ETA:
Just checked your other questions and I see that the baby is probably not breastfed. I'd call the doctor.

My neighbor had the same problem. She would need to "stimulate" her baby every day in order to go. She'd put some vaseline on the tip of a thermador and insert it gently in her baby's bottom and move it around. She realized the solution was not very ideal (for her or baby) to do it everyday so she tried a couple of things. What worked for her at the end, especially since she is breastfeeding, she decided to take some fiber pills (not exactly sure what kind) but once she had more fiber in her diet, the baby started to go by herself. Good luck!

Are you using iron fortified formula? That can cause constipation. But it is also common for babies to got 2 or 3 days. Don't panic yet, but if it continues another day or so call the Dr.

I would call his doctor just to see what they say. I'm sure it's normal. I know sometimes I'll go days without "going". Maybe he ate something that slowed his system a bit. Maybe try giving him a glass of apple juice and if that doesn't work, prune juice. That usually works... Good luck!

Older people will tell you to give him sugar water. Just add some Ciro syrup to his water he will like it. I had to deal with that same thing when my son was a baby.. There is a baby stool softener you can buy too. But one thing for sure. When he will go he will go.

WHEN MY SON WAS A NEW BORN 5 MONTHS AGO HE DIDNT GO FOR 2 DAYS AND I ASKED MY DR. AND HE SAID IF THEY GO 2 DAYS OF NOT GOING TO THE RESTROOM ITS FINE. BUT IF THEY GO 3 DAYS THEN TAKE HIM TO THE DR. RIGHT AWAY. SO I SUGGEST YOU TAKE HIM TO YOUR DR. CALL YOUR DR. AND SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO. I HAD TO CHANGE HIS FORMULA. IT JUST MIGHT BE TH EFORMULA... BUT GOOD LUCK.. IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES.... AND CONGRATS.

Do you mean he's constipated or hasn't been urinating?
If he hasn't been urinating, you need to take him to the ER right now.
If he's constipated, take his temperature rectally. That stimulates the colon. If that doesn't work, give him a little DARK kayro syrup in his bottle. If that doesn't work, try a glycerin suppository.

Our Dr. told us to give our daughter Mineral Oil to help ease everything along. I seem to remember it was like 1 Tbs. daily. she was about 6 or 7 years old when this happened.

take him to the doctor that is a bad feeling and i know his little tummy hurts. if you feed him formula you may need to put a little extra water in it. i had to do that for my daughter. the doctor will probably give him a suppository for the time being. hope he feels better
