Yes Yes Yes!

It is the most wonderful thing ever, I have a 7month old and still well up thinking about the birth. Its blumming painful and tiring but its all forgotton the instant your baby is passed to you. Its so special and I find it so amazing that my body has actually looked after this little human for 9 months......

As for afterwards, its tiring and having not much sleep and taking care of a little person is quite mindblowing at first but everyday is different and like in my house...life will never be dull!

Merry Christmas x

Do you mean actually giving birth or having a child to raise and love?

Actually giving birth... not so bad.

Having a child to raise and love... awesome. I have accomplished a lot in life, personally and professionally. None of that even begins to compares with being a parent. If you do it correctly it's not always easy. But, it's totally worth it. The love that I have for my daughter is inexplicable. My relationship with my husband has also been enhanced.

We also had to be ready. We both have jobs, are financially secure, have a safe home to raise a child in, family nearby, we're committed to each other and the baby, etc. We also discussed how we wanted to have kids and how to raise them. I see so many people have kids who aren't ready - or shouldn't. The city in which I live has an incredibly high teen pregnancy rate. I also see people use profanity or yell at their kids in public (which I'm sure they do in private) and it goes to show that not everyone is ready for a baby and not everyone is a nurturing parent.

Besides... part of the fun was making the effort to have a baby! :)

P.S. The first person who answered this question is either ignorant or just an *sshole. I'm going to go with the second. I hope they're not a parent - or a teacher.

Giving birth to a child is ruddy painful, so painful in fact that i screamed my head off. The next day after giving birth to a really strange looking baby,[ had a head like a martian] but gorgeous now the ladies in the ward with me asked me if i heard the lady screaming yesterday, i said yes, how silly of her it is not sore at all. Heheh. Did not take me long and i had another and that one slipped out like an eel, easy peasy man:))

Having a baby for a man is much easier than it is for a woman. Trust me I watched my wife it was much better for me!! Saying that though with sleepless nights and little time to yourself I wouldn't change a thing it's great!

My other half is a midwife. Her common saying is:

"Its not called labour for nothing."

It is hard work, painful, etc. But the end result is worth all of the pain.

My children helped me finally find a purpose in life. It has been the hardest job I've ever had. Worth every minute.
