It will be fine. You can also use the Vicks Vapo rub on them starting at 6 months (there is a baby version for children younger than that). Vicks products work very well at helping the little ones to breathe.

I would use it. When my son was younger (he is now 15 months old) the Dr said it was ok for me to use it. He recommended that we use a "cool mist" vaporizer rather than use the traditional steam one. I asked the nurse why and she said that it is better for the baby that way. A quick search on the internet showed me that: The cool mist keeps mucus membranes and airways moist. This helps prevent tight coughs and assists the body in expelling mucus.

I hope this helps! Hope that baby feels better!

Using any vaporizer won't hurt a baby, but don't put any medicine in it. Just run the mist. That will help the baby. Be sure to put it where the baby can't touch it, though. You don't want him/her to get burned if it's warm steam. I use a cool mist myself, but warm will work.

They make a vapor just for children its called gentle vapors I think - I have used it in my daughters room since she was about 6 months old!

I personally would not use it unless it's just plain water in the vaporizer. I have heard from several nurses that the "vapors" makes breathing worse.

As long as he doesn't have asthma it is just fine. It can trigger asthma attacks in some asthmatics. Also be sure to keep it out reach and not directly by his crib. They can get pretty hot so just use caution :)

That's what they are for. I use one whenever my son gets stuffed up...it helps them breathe better. You can also put some vicks on his chest and back.

Technically speaking......you'll be fine BUT before using any over the counter type of remedy it's always best that you consult your dr. JUST to be safe they could reccomend on what to use how long is best to use it for

Johnson & Johnson has a vapor cream and also vapor baby body wash. Use that instead since it was made for babies.

No it will not hurt him, just do not place it too close to his sleeping area, have it a few feet away and it will be fine.
