Where would a person look to seek out expecting mothers that wish to have their newborn adopted by a loving parents without having to go thru an agency, and protecting the privacy of both the birth mother and the adopting parents. It seems that so many agencies grab hold of these cases, and then the cost sky rockets. This stops a lot of good loving people from attaining a baby. Granted it is not going to be free, but there are so many children that need homes, and the "system" keeps them in the foster care programs indefinitly, tossing them from one foster home to another.

I've been freezing pieces of banana, avocado and recently grapes for my 11-month old. I buy them fresh, cut them up and give them to her fresh for the first couple days, but when they start getting a bit too over ripe/soft I freeze the remainder of them.

She loves them frozen as much as fresh, but every time I bring them to my Mom's place my Mom doesn't really like feeding them to her because they are often mushy & watery when they defrost. (Seems to me a toothless baby might actually prefer this.)

Sure they are a bit more messy (which seems to be the underlying complaint) but my Mom says she's more concerned that they lose all their nutritional value from freezing.

Many people seem to freeze fruits and put them in mesh feeders for teething so I don't suspect there's a problem with this... my daughter never really got the hang of a mesh feeder, but that's not the point, are frozen fruits nutritionally okay?

Also, what other fruits do you freeze for your babies?

Thanks

Is it true when you have a baby and it's born a month early you have to stay in the hospital for a month? How long would you have to stay in the hospital? (I was told a month+)

Is it normal for an infant's nose to bleed? It's not pouring out blood but there was some bloody mucus in one nostril. It has only happened once.

I've heard of people tying their stomach up or wearing a gurdle. This is supposed to help bring your stomach in faster or something....Anyone ever done this or heard of it?

My son is 11 months old and his doctor wants me to schedule an appointment to get a flu shot. Just wondering if this is something everyone does? Is it safe? Has anyone had a baby who had a negative reaction to the flu shot? And should me and my husband get one too? Any advice would be helpful, I'm a nervous 1st time mommy.

My son is 2 months old and it seems as though he spends more time with his babysitter who also happens to be his grandmother (my mom). Will this confuse him and make him think my mom is his mother instead of me? I'm worried that he might think she's his mom since he sees her more.

I nursed my daughter for a year, and for ten months of it, she spit up after EVERY feeding. She was a little bit early and had bad jaundice. Was her digestive system slow? Or do some babies just spit up that much? Could she have been allergic to my milk, or had another problem? I eat a very mild diet.

Does anyone have a baby or child that has or has had a G-Tube (mic key button). My daughter has one because she can't protect her airway to eat by mouth yet. She will be 1 in November. I was just wondering how long other kids have had them? And if they can eat by mouth at all? She also has a nissen fundoplication.

She was born at 7 lbs, 5 oz and at 6 weeks, weighs only 8 1/2 lbs. She rarely seems interested in eating and we constantly struggle to get her to eat even though we offer her a bottle (breast milk mixed with formula for the extra calories) every 3 hours. She will drink an ounce or so and then start fussing. We've started her on reflux medicine 3 days ago but have yet to see any results.
