My son was born last month and has brownish-auburn hair. My fiance has the blackest hair imaginable and I have black hair. We cannot figure out why he has almost reddish hair. Any ideas? And please no smart *** answers..yes, the baby is his in absolute surety. He was born a month early, although I cannot see what that would have to do with it.

I have started to feed my 13month old son, some Chicken Nuggets, Potato Alphabet Shapes, and beans, but even though he eats these, sometimes, he eats more when he has his jarred food.

When should i bring him completely off jarred food?

I have a 2 month and 1 week baby at home and usually she eats her bottle every 3 hours and eats 4 ounces at a time. The past couple of days she has only been eating 2 ounces every 4 hours. Is it normal for babys to eat less some days than others?

Just interested to hear your opinions...I'll give mine first. I know that breast is best, but I chose to bottle feed both my children. The first time round it was ignorance and embarrassment, because I was young and my mum, partner and his family had all bottle fed, and I didn't feel there was anyone positive I could speak to. The second time round, I felt it would be too hard with a toddler around, and that I might bond better with the second than the first, which may cause problems in the long run.

I actually think that giving newborns cows milk is a bit mental when a mother has her own milk which is tailored to her own child. I don't actually drink cows milk, and I'm angry with myself for giving it to my babies :(

If I had my time over again, I'd breastfeed without hesitation. I won't be having anymore children, and I actually feel like I've missed out on something really special, and something which my body is made to do...and that's sad.

Have you found the extra money is well worth it? Or does the cost of gas, day care, cloths and other work expenses pretty much even it out and it would cost about the same to stay home?

My 4 month old daughter has stopped napping during the day time. This just started at the beginning of this week. She doesn't want to play or eat...she has dry/clean diapers. She just cries, no matter what I do. I know she's tired but she refuses to sleep and then cries until she's gagging. I've tried the whole "let her cry it out" thing but she just screams even louder after so long. I know she's teething and I've given her everything...tylenol, teething tablets, orajel...you name and she's had it. I've played soothing music...tried reading to her, talking to her in soft soothing tones. She doesn't have a fever or anything. She used to take two good naps during the day...what happened?? I know babies are unpredictable and each one is different and reacts differently to each situation but how can I keep my sanity (and hair) and get her to sleep for more than 10 minutes. I don't want to call the doctor just yet if I don't have to, ya know?

I have been out on maternity leave for the past three months and must return to work for financial reasons. My 12 week old is in a very good daycare with wonderful caregivers. The ratio in the infant room is 8 babies and three teachers. They have a great curriculum and he seems to be very happy there. Should I feel guilty for sending him and do whatever it takes to be able to be a stay at home mom? or should I keep him enrolled and have more money for his future? I am so worried I will miss something he does!
