I worked it out, and YES it isn't worth it! You have to incorporate lunches if you don't have time to make them, fast snack things for the kids, your dress clothes for work, gas, and if you only have one car in the family that would make it even harder!
I have found a job I do from home. It is benificial, but I realize it is hard to get started working from home. (not one of those online things) I'm doing billing for a company.

I'm going back to work part time in just over a week. I've done the math and it's worth it. Then again, I will be getting hourly + commission. The hourly basically pays for daycare and my commission will make it worth it. My job is less than a mile from my house and the daycare is 10 minutes from both, so gas isn't really a factor. As far as clothes go, thankfully, my work place is business casual and most of my clothes prematernity fit again. So yes, it's worth it for my situation. I wouldn't be going back if it wasn't worth it.

I found that it was only worth it if a mother feels like she needs to be a productive member of society and gets something out of her job.

If you have the chance to stay home with your children then do so. I am a mother of two and work full-time and I would give anything to stay home with my kids, unfortunatley I can't :-(
Stay home and enjoy all the time you have with your kids!

I have found that it pretty much evens out. You pay out your entire pay check to the things you just mentioned and have nothing left over. But it is nice to get away for a little while and be amongst other adults. :) Its up to you.

Well I work full time & go to school full time. For me it's worth it, I basically want to be able to tell my daughters that they can be a mommy and still do something with thier lives other than just take care of your children. I guess it depends on what you want out of everything though.

Stay home. Save the time and money. Be there for your child. You will NEVER regret it.

it depends on how much you can make per hour of course.
If you can make $200 per hour it is worth it...financially.
if you can only make minimum wage, then it is probably not.
