first thing that would come to my mind is: good for her. I would be happy to see more moms doing what is right. I think that there are to many babys not breastfeed because of what society thinks. The main reason there are so many unhealthy kids out there is because they were not breastfeed.

First of all, quite a few women nurse in public places and you never would know it. Cover with a blanket or nursing material and you can't tell and don't show anything, therefore no reason for anyone else to "feel" any way about it, its one of the most normal things to ever exist, but should not be used as an excuse to expose one's body.

I am a breastfeeding mother and I say that's what breast pumps are for. I don't want people watching me feed my child and I want that time to be private for me and my daughter. You pump before you go out and carry that bottle(s) with you. That way they still get the good milk but no one is offended. Plus your child wont lose the ability to suck off the breast just because its uses a bottle once in a while. A bottle once or twice a day will not hurt them in any way and it doesnt break that bond with your baby either.

As long as she is discreet about it, then there are no problems. I nursed 2 of my 3 children, and I nursed in public as needed. It is natural and babies do need to eat, usually not wanting to wait until you are home to do so!

I would be very glad. The mother is taking care of her baby's needs. It shows me that the mother keeps her child as a top prority in her life. She is unselfishly giving part of herself to that child.

How would you feel?

I nurse my youngest son & do it in public all the time. I do so discretly though. I do not flash by breast and I keep covered. I will not completely cover my son though because it makes him to hot & he does not like to have his face covered.
I will not go to the restroom to feed him either. I do not eat in the bathroom so neither will he.

If you do not like it then just don't look. There are several things in public that I do not like but I just do not look.

I am glad that she loves her child enough to give her child what he/she needs to thrive in life.. That is a normal and natural thing to occur between a mother and baby, and if people aren't comfortable with it then they need to re evaluate prorities and just stay away from the area in which that person is.

It wouldn't bother me a bit. I did it all the time with my son until he was 2 1/2 years old. Would it bother you if you saw an adult eating in public???? If it dosen't why don't you think a baby dosn't have the same rights. Babies need to eat too.

it's not like she's pissing on the streets, she is feeding her baby! I don't see why this is an issue with people!

and the men who do have a problem with it are probably duo gay, are single and don't want kids or married never had kids.

btw it's a nice way to get a look at some nipples.

what I do have a problem with is when moms' who have cottage cheese vein breast just plopped on their stomach for the world to see. now if you are in that category please hide the breast when you are finished. thank you!

Glad to see her doing the best thing possible for her baby!

Breastmilk is a baby's birthright. Babies need to eat and mothers should not feel trapped at home.

There is no state in the USA where nursing in public is illegal. There are around 35 states where the right to nurse in public is actually protected.

It's great to see women breastfeeding! I would be happy for two reasons:

1) Because she's breastfeeding her baby, which is great for her baby's health and also beneficial for her own health.

2) Because by breastfeeding in public she is helping other moms feel comfortable about breastfeeding in general and breastfeeding in public. It helps to normalize breastfeeding, which is the most natural and ideal way to feed and nurture a baby. In an ideal world all mothers would feel comfortable feeding their babies wherever they happen to be.

In my state a woman's right to breastfeed her baby anywhere is protected by law.
