I would suggest you to prepare a list of furniture you want. You have bought the crib. So, you might consider some travel gears as well. Regarding store, check stores like Kmart, Sears, or Target. Look for deals before making actual purchase. You are sure to save few extra bulks. Hope this helps.

Do you have a local "Good Will" or "Salvation Army" store? We have found alot of bargin furniture there, however I haven't ever looked for baby furniture there. But you could try that.

do not underestimate your neighborhood WAL-MART!!!!! people try to act like something is wrong with that... but, my advice to you is: don't trip!!!!! (don't be silly!) the money you would over-spend at these boutiques and specialty shops (even BabiesRus, & Baby Depot) could be used for greater things like ONESIES, DIAPERS, FOOD, CLOTHES, COLLEGE!!!!!! always compare prices with what Wal-mart has to offer. also, check places like www.craigslist.org and gently-used furniture stores. you might really find a great deal. Go to the newspaper and find grandparents that are selling their baby items. Since the items only get used when the grandkids visit they'll be in like new condition.

I have found that target has long lasting items. also check out garage sales in a nice area.
