this is just a thought. Maybe try a faster flowing nipple. My daughter refuses slow nipples and she always did. Maybe try a medium flow if you hadnt already.

I know it can be exhausting, but breastmilk is still by far the healthiest food for your baby. Also, at 3 months many children go through an intense grow spurt where they basically nurse for up to 3 days straight. It stimulates your milk supply to increase as needed for the growth. So, see if you can be patient with the increased nursing for a bit longer.

As for taking a bottle, does your 3 month old really take nothing for 8 hours while you are gone? That would be worrisome. Try different nipples, including non-latex ones. A latex allergy could make a latex nipple unappealing. Also, make sure the caretaker holds the baby for the feedings, and try to make sure you are providing enough pumped milk for the bottles. In addition to being less healthy, formula just tastes awful compared to breastmilk.

Good luck.

Weaning a baby to a bottle before he wants to is one of the hardest tasks for a mother. He knows he has you right where he wants you. All to himself. Babies really don't care if you're tired. They just want warm, love, mommy...

A friend of mine had to leave for a weekend to accomplish this. Three whole days without mommy was tough on them both, but it made her milk start to dry up and baby got hungry enough he had to learn the skill of drinking from a cup.

Cup or bottle, make the choice and stick with it. If you try too many different kinds of nipples, that can definitely frustrate him, and that's the last thing you want!

At three months, I would still recommend a bottle, AVENT was what I used for both of mine and loved it.

Keep in mind that baby won't want to take a bottle from anyone that even remotely smells like breast milk. If it is not possible for you to get away, and you absolutely must wean him from the breast, you're going to have to endure much crying, and will have to totally boycott all feeding until he accepts the bottle.

Best wishes to you and your little ones.

Just remember, they won't stay little forever, it just feels like it! :o)

initially, do no longer upload honey to to any extent further bottles! a baby don't have honey previously they're a minimum of 365 days previous using threat of botulism. Secondly, have you ever tried pumping some breast milk and them giving it to him in a bottle? There are extensive mouth bottles on the marketplace now that are meant to be greater like the breast so a strategies as shape and sense to the toddler. which may be something you ought to attempt. i've got additionally heard human beings say to enable somebody else feed the toddler once you're weaning and to stay out of the room using fact the toddler can nonetheless scent your milk and if he thinks breastmilk is an selection for sure he's going to combat for it over a bottle. it extremely is going to be somewhat difficult, yet merely be good and good luck.

Go to a breastfeeding clinic if one is available.

You can try finger feeding...

You have a small tube that you can attach to your finger, and the other goes into the bottle. If your baby will suck your finger, you should be all set. This is a pretty good transition to a bottle (closer to breast feeding thana bottle). A pain to set up, but worth it.

Send baby to grandma's for a few days so he will learn that he'll just have to take a bottle. Otherwise if you are around he is just going to cry for you. And you will eventually give in. hehehe.

I would try putting something sweet tasteing on the bottles and see if takes to them. You might even do it to your breasts. Get him use to it. The bad part of that is you might get him or her hooked on sugar.

keep trying different nipples, if he is using a pacifier try and find a similar nipple to that. Its really trial and error with baies. also if he takes a pacifier I know there are pacifiers for feeding babies their medicine you could try one of them alothough it would be time consuming filling it all the time

Why are you working? you need to pay for a new home, new boat, new car... trips?

I can't imagine anything more important than staying home with my child. There is a reason many kids are becoming obease and having health issues and alot of it is due to lack of proper breast feeding time.

FEED YOUR CHILD WOMAN!!!!!
