It can start as early as around 4 months but you may not see actual teeth for months. Are her/his gums red and swollen, drooling alot, wanting to chew on things? I would start out with a frozen teething ring before i would try baby oragel just to make sure it was teething.

Teething usually begins around 6 months of age. However, it is considered normal for teething to start any time between 3 months and 12 months of age. A total of 20 primary teeth come in, usually by the time your child is about 3 years old.

All babies have different times of development. Some start at 4 months, or even a year. My lil' girl didn't get her two front teeth until 13 months old! But you can tell if they're teething if they keep on holding their fingers in their mouth and they fuss after you tried to feed and change them. Depending on how old your baby is you'll give your baby the appropriate dose of tylenol because some symptoms are fever and of course gum aching. Get a teething ring and put it in the freezer so they can chew on it, or a washcloth that won't tear. There's also baby orajel but you should be able to get by with some infant tylenol.

Usually they start getting teeth when they are a few months old, but I know there have been babies born with a few teeth already and I know one girl who didn't have a single tooth in her mouth until she was two years old. They could tell they were all there and were just considering cutting her gums so they would come out and suddenly they all broke through at once.I think, the later they break through the stronger they are.

Usually they start teething around 4 or 5 mths, with 6mths being the avg age to have the first teeth actually appear. Could be earlier, could be much much later. My girl pretty much followed this to the letter for her first teeth, but after that they were popping up left and right so that at 11 mths she has 9.

anytime. every baby is different... my son started teething at 2 months but didn't get any teeth until 4 months... just watch for the typical signs of teething... and help your baby out as much as possible

I have 3 and they all started around 3 - 4 months. Some don't start til 6 months, others may start at 2. But I think most start around the same time as mine did.
