Where would a person look to seek out expecting mothers that wish to have their newborn adopted by a loving parents without having to go thru an agency, and protecting the privacy of both the birth mother and the adopting parents. It seems that so many agencies grab hold of these cases, and then the cost sky rockets. This stops a lot of good loving people from attaining a baby. Granted it is not going to be free, but there are so many children that need homes, and the "system" keeps them in the foster care programs indefinitly, tossing them from one foster home to another.

Actually in most "private" adoptions the couple engages the services of a lawyer, to ensure the legallities. What you are proposing is tantamount to buying a baby which, here in the U.S. is against the law. If you don't want to go through an agency I suggest you hire a lawyer otherwise you might find yourselves unable to even adopt a puppy from your prison cells.

Put an ad in your local newspaper or you could go world wide on the NET. Keep in mind that most of the time it is cheaper to go the long route because Ive seen woman take total advantage of other folks who want to adopt. the last month all of a sudden the abort or change their minds which is exactly what they had planned on doing in the begining so be very carful if you go that route.

I am looking for the exact same thing! I'd love to adopt a baby some day, but I don't wanna go through an agency. If you find out any good info on this, please e-mail me and let me know about it too! :-) Good Luck, hun.

You will either have to go through a private adoption agency, a governmental agency or an attorney.

Check with your local Division of child and family services. They can get you pointed in the right direction. The LDS Family services is also a great resource.

I guess you would have to find a pregnant mom who can keep it on the hush- hush where her kid is going after birth.
