I was really frustrated this morning and was in a terrible mood and I told my child that I didn't want her anymore. I did apologize and I told my child that I didn't mean what I said. I still feel awful. What should I do? Has anyone else said this to their child?

My daughter is very clingy and whiney. She is one years old and she is only this way with me and not so much my husband. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just a typical phase that will fade with time. Please help, it is getting hard for me to get any household chores done!

it means "great queen".

I like Rhianna/Rihanna way better, because it sounds good in both English and Spanish.

However, I don't want anyone to think I named my child after a singer, I saw her live once, she can't sing live at all.lol

What's your opinion should I consider (if I go with this name) Rhianna/Rihanna or Rhiannon?

Almost 7 weeks now. Is this normal? Does the sleepy feeling wear off that fast. I started taking vitamins too, so maybe that made me more alert?

Accidentally hit the hall monitor in the back of the head with a binder when I was trying to give her a hug.
I kind of jumped on her from behind and the force somehow made the binder hit her . They had a witness who said it looked like I intentionally took the binder and hit her with it, but that's not true.

I almost got expelled & jail.
But they cut me slack and now I'm suspended for 2 days. (Rest of the week until break)

Do you think this is fair granted I was going for a hug?

Our 10 yr old mastiff went into the vet yesterday, he had been throwing up for 2 days. we found out this morning that he has severe kidney disease and will need to be put down. My kids 5, 7, 9 and 14 know he spent the night at the vets and he is sick. Should I tell them and let them say goodbye or should we do this privately and tell them after Christmas.

Against Stay at home moms/dads vs Working Moms/dads?

Whenever I say, I sacrifice on to be a stay at home mom, meaning I can't afford to stay at home but by us eliminating some things, we can. We live on less than $45K/yr and manage to give our kids the best we can. When you say that on here, people freak out and thumb you down as if you're some vile self-rightous nut. I don't care what parents do on here, my opinion, which is just that, is that when parents say they have to work, some of my friends are making $80K combo, three cars big house and a big vacation so they HAVE TO WORK to afford it all. I want that lifestyle but for now, sacrifice it to stay at home until the kids go to school full-time.

So what's the big deal? Things are different when you're a single parent or two parents making minimum wage and you have to do what you have to do, but why take pot shots at stay at home parents who say this?

I am really confused with how all this pregnancy thing works. I had my last period on March 12 and my cycle is normally 30 days. On March 23rd my husband and I had unprotected sex. On April 6th I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. On April 8th we had sex again but it was protected. On April 9th I thought my period was coming early because I was spotting. Then again on April 10th we had unprotected sex. I never got my period in April and I re-tested again on April 18th and they test was positive. Which sexual intercourse day lead to my pregnancy?? When did I concieve??

Then, what happened?

All of those kids who were spanked should, in theory, recognize that spanking is what made them into responsible adults and, therefore, should decide to responsibly spank their own children, right?

But, there are all these claims that spanking is on the decline and, therefore, bringing about moral & societal decay.

How could it be on the decline if everyone was spanked in the past and, therefore, has learned that spanking is the best way of doing things?

Are people who were spanked growing up and deciding to do things differently from their parents? Didn't the spanking in their childhoods make them respect and honor their parents?

Could it be that, in the past, *everyone* didn't spank - that spanking was just as likely or unlikely in a family then as now?

And, where do the abusive spankers fit into all of this? The parents that push it too far? Were they spanked? Abused? Not disciplined at all?

Can anyone come up with any explanations?

My son is 3 months old. I had to stop breastfeeding at 7 weeks. Since then,we've been through about 4 different formulas and after those upset his tummy and gave him extreme gas and spitting up, we put him on Enfamil Lacto-free formula. Hes been on that for about a month now. Hes not as gassy and doesnt spit up too too much. My question is what if hes not really lactose intolerant ...and it was something else? Will it hurt him in any way to be on this lactofree formula? Last Dr visit, she said "as long as it has iron"....ok, but what if hes not lactose intolerant? What about when he turns 1 and starts on milk? Does that mean he has to drink soy because hes been on lactofree?

I work at an office job and after talking to the lady in HR she told me to call the disability office and tell them that I'm pregnant. She said pregnancy isn't a disability but just call and let them know that I am and call them after the baby is born. It seemed like she was having a hard time explaning why exactly I had to do this. What is the point and what will they do after I tell them? I did tell her that it was a long commute from home to work and then she gave me the number to call. Did anyone else have to do this or can you explain why I have to in more detail? Thanks so much!

My daughter is twelve years old and in the seventh grade. Her name is Jenny, and she has always been a good kid. When she got to seventh grade, she suddenly became a bit of a handful. She began wearing black a lot, and became a bit distanced. I thought that it was normal and she was just transitioning into a teenager. One day, I found her iPod in her jeans pocket, and was moving it back to Jenny's desk, when it suddenly turned on, and showed that she was halfway through a song by Bauhaus called Bella Lugosi's Dead. I began to explore her music choices, and found a lot of Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Peter Murphy, and such artists. I began to get a bit afraid, and started to watch a bit closer on my Jenny, but I never confronted her.
Last week, Jenny asked if she could sleep over at her friend Anna's house. I said yes, because Anna's mother was a very good friend of mine, and I trusted her. I just told Jenny to call me around ten o'clock.
Ten o'clock came and went, and there was

When my husband was a child they used formaldehyde on his skin for a medical reason, but not into his blood stream. Why are these things even included in vaccines? The more I read the more afraid I get. I've had my son's 2 scheduled vaccinations and each time he is sick for days afterwards. Now it's time for his 6 months and I am torn.
