my DR. told me to keep my son on homo milk until he was 5 years old... but everyone I know thinks thats crazy and that I should switch him to 2% (or whatever.. 2% is what we drink..)... my son turned two October 26 ..... just curious about when you switched your kids off of homo and on to regular milk...??????????? thanks so much for all your answers

Serious answers only, please. I'm an average mom with liberal views. But not THIS liberal. My daughter watches her show. And though she is not obsessed by it (the whole Hannah Montana craze), we will be inundated with pictures, articles, etc. And she will wonder what the big deal is. I want to dissuade her from teen pregnancy, NOT go into the big birds and bees talk (she's 9 1/2. Not sheltered, but still 9), but also keep our lines of communication open, if, heaven forbid, she finds herself in the same boat.
How are conscientious, regular everyday moms with average liberal values explaining this to their 9-12 year olds?

I'm also two days late. I had sex on the day I was ovulating.... there is a chance I could still be pregnant right? I'm 24 and engaged. I'm just curious if anyone else received a negative result at the point and then got a positive later on?

I'm taking another test tomorrow and I have a doctors appointment on the 26th....

Basically I was late, however I ended up having my period four days later. Note the last time I was late was when I was pregnant three years ago. So, is it possible to be pregnant even though I had my period?

ok i knowww this is the wrong section,
but Im wondering what you all think of the name I chose for my daughter? I did ask this in the "baby names" section, but I want all of your opinions too!

we chose Ava Lee. her last name will start with a B.

please, no spelling suggestions on "Lee" though, as in the other section people said I should spell it "Leigh". I am spelling it Lee because I had a sister die in a car accident 2 years ago, and her middle name was "Lee", so I want my daughters middle name to be Lee aswell.

I wasn't due until February 9, but my little man came on December 9. At 31 weeks, he is small. He only weights 3 lbs. 4 oz. and is 17 in. long. He has to be in the Nicu for 4 morre weeks, and I am having a really hard time dealing. I have a 3 year old and even though she has done nothing wrong, I find myself yelling at her. I snap at my husband and all I want to do is lay around in the dark and cry. Every song I hear makes me think of the baby and I cry. I dont even feel like his mother. I feel like I had a baby and tossed it to someone else to take care of. I dont get to do the up all nights or rocking him to sleep, or hold him when he is crying. The nurses do that. I am becoming bitter and I am having really dark thoughts. I have even thought about ways to hurt myself so I can go back in the hospital to stay with him. I need help. I know I do. Any advice? Has anyone been through this?

My baby girl is always constapated. She cries, strains, and bleeds(streaks- not alot) when she actually passes stool. It seems she has hemrroids if babies can get them. We have moved from nursing, to soy formula, to hypoallergenic formula, to goatmilk. Her other symtoms- night waking and generally fitfulness- has inproved a little, but we still have tears and bleeding everytime she passes stool. It got worse with any food- prunes and juices included. Any suggestions? I would LOVE help

is it normal for your upper to middle part of your stomach to be rock hard and have no pain. my stomach is usually always hard and its like that for a long time, its rare me feeling my stomach and its not hard..the lower part of the stomach..the part that curves down is always soft and pokeable..but the top and middle part are usually always rock hard..but i dont any any pains...is it still contractions?? is it normal?? thanks in advace!! oh and im 38 weeks preg.

I'm pregnant, i just had an ultrasound the 17th and my baby was 12 cm long head to butt. i am supposed to be 15 weeks but that says that i'm 17 weeks? i'm not sure when my lmp was i think it was between aug 23 and sep 3.

I had sex on the eleventh day of my cycle, according to an online calculator this was one of my more fertile days. There is no birth control involved. Right now I'm not showing any signs of pregnancy (I dont think) I have been more emotional but that could be my period. I have been getting very bad headaches and extremely bad cramps all through out my lower abdomin. I never have cramps really when I'm about to start or actually on my period. I have been light headed as well, but it's only been a week and half almost two weeks since we had sex. Could I possibly be pregnant and already showing slight symptoms?

We have heard the heartbeat twice. My doctor says I will only get one ultrasound for my entire pregnancy. She says because of radiation. They will only do an extra one if there is a problem? Has anyone elses doctor done the same thing?

Is mine just extra precautious? My friend is six weeks pregnant ond goes back in 2 weeks to get her 2nd ultrasound.

My 4 year old son behaves very badly at a store. He wants to buy a toy during every visit and shouts and screams if I don't buy it. He starts picking up things that he wants(which we really don't need) and if I don't put them in the basket, he starts throwing and damaging them. I do get him involved in what cereal he wants and what juice he wants. But there are some unnecessary stuff which he always wants and my son even had a very good memory to see whether the lady at the counter is scanning the item which he has selected. I cannot even divert his attention and put the item back without his knowledge. It will soon reach a stage where the store manager will not allow my son to enter. I need to do my shopping and find time only when my son is around, as I work from home when he is at preschool. Please help.

i got my period last month on the 26th of november. i had sex on the 30th and he came in me. then on the 11th and the 15th and he pulled out. im supposed to get my period on the 24th. normally i would get cramps like a week before and sore boobs, but i have nothing. im scared to take a test. can someone tell me if im just scaring myself or what?! im too scared to test..
