Hi..
I have been using a cool mist humidifier in my 14 month old sons room and I feel its making the room quite cold...the room is drafty to begin with, and in the winter this humidifier is making the air even more cold in his room. I am almost tempted to go in for a warm mist humidifier. Is that a good idea? Also, does anyone know of a good brand that works?

I am using the humidifier because I feel the heater i in the house is making the air very dry and many times my son has a little blood in his mucous because of that. But the cold of the humidifier bothers me.

Any suggestuions to make my son more comfortable? I too can feel my nose stuffy and dry so it must be hard for my son.

Please help.

Possibility that our baby is mentally challenged. It would be our first child. Hubby says we can always try again for the perfect child. Or maybe give it up for adoption? What do I do? Help!!

My partner has 2 kids, 6-yo girl and 5-yo boy. They don't live with us, they live with their mom, her new husband, and 8-month-old baby. Their mom "homeschools" them, which has been fine for the oldest as she is (1) motivated, (2) very bright, and (3) the beneficiary of a fair amount of attention before the baby was born. The 5-yo boy DOES NOT KNOW HIS LETTERS ON SIGHT. It was a horrible struggle to get him to learn his numbers, and now that we've found out he doesn't get any teaching at home, it's a horrible struggle all over again with the letters. He's whiny, unmotivated, and obviously coddled by mommy, but doesn't show any signs of unintelligence or learning disabilities. We've already had all kinds of fun with this woman in court. She doesn't care about our thoughts on raising the children properly, and won't send them to school of her own accord. We live in TX. Can we get him tested and force her to send him to school? Any thoughts on how to do this? PLEASE HELP!

Friday night my friends and I went to a guys apartment (he’s a freshman in college) and he was having a party. One of my friends is pretty good friends with him so we all decided to go. There were a lot of other hot college guys there and to make a long story short I ended up making out with one of them. (he is 19 and I am 17 which isn’t really bad) He ended up giving me a hickey. Well yesterday, I had a basketball game and I Knew I would have to wear my hair up so I tried to cover it up as good as I could. Well it was late into the game and I was sweating and I guess the make up I used to cover it up came off and my friend who is also on the team told me and I was like sh*it, because I knew my parents were watching and they probably saw it. Well at the end of the game I didn’t say anything to them and I just went into the locker room but when I got home they were like so what’d u do last night? And I was like ugghhh nothing why and they were like ooo so who gave u that on ur neck and I was like its not a big deal and they were like yeah it is and they freaked out on me! And they were like ur not going out tonight…and I had plans to go out again! They’re so stupid…its only a hickey and its not like we had sex! Don’t u think they over-reacted! I do!

my son is 9 months old and always wants me to put him to sleep or let him sleep with me and for the past couple of days i have been giving him a bath every night then putting him in his crib letting him cry in his crib till he falls asleep but i go in there about every 15 minutes to let him know he is ok. it has been taking him about an hour in a half to fall asleep. the reasson why im asking if im a bad parent or not is because my family and friends are telling me i am they say just to let him sleep with me and i dont want that, ive seen kids still 13 sleepping in there parents room, i personally think that is a little old to be doing that.. thanks for the responses. have a great night.

My friend is 3 months pregnant and going through a emotionally difficult time. She feels a part time job will give her some purpose in life and help her get over her depression. She has never worked before and plans to leave before she has the baby. Do you think an employer will give her a job knowing of her pregnancy? She is not looking for benefits, paid maternity leave etc. just a way to keep busy. Also, she plans to be forthright about the pregnancy at the interview. The job is in accounting.

How did you tell when it was the right time to being weaning? I have an almost 15 month old, who still nurses before going to sleep, and first thing when she gets up in the morning... Also occasionally if she's not feeling well and doesn't show interest in eating anything else. I'm pregnant with twins, due in May, and so I've been hesitant to continue nursing my daughter. I've considered weaning her completely before, but I'm just not quite sure how to go about it, I have such a hard time telling her no. I can't find any other methods to get her to sleep... if I try to rock her she throws a fit until I nurse, she won't drink from a sippy cup at night, and I can't just let her cry... It doesn't work for me. Can you give me some advice?

i had my baby 4 days ago. She wont latch on so they told me to pump it into a bottle. The pump takes forever i can pump for 20 minutes on one breast and only get an ounce. my breast def. have milk they are like rock hard and sore. What can i do to get more milk when i pump?

My wife took two pregnancy home test yesterday, one right off the bat was a positive that morning, and one we checked yesterday that was a Clear Blue test kit showed positive, even though I had to put a little water on it to get a reading, which should have dilluted it we still got a positive.

Today we got another test kit and it showed Negitive, altough it was after 5 PM and she had urinated a few times beforehand.

So far we arn't sure if we should get another kit or set up a doctors apointment. So far shes missed some signs, but says she feels pregnant, and though maybe wishful thinking on my part, I could swear i hear a fainter fast hearbeat in her stomach, Also shes not had a period in over a month, so far shes shown,

Darking Areolas, Montgomerys Tubercles, fatigue, Frequent urination, slight cramps, tender nipples, some cramping, Food Cravings, bit more irritable and moody, clear/whitish discharge, Body Discomforts, diarrhea, bloating, and Food Aversions to favorites.

Unprotected sex 12 times in the last month. All through out my cycle, even the day i was actually ovulating. I got my period LATE, it was like 4 or 5 days late. It wasn't normal. Im normaly heavy EVERY time, it was extremely light, and even stopped at times. That is NOT normal for me. I have also noticed a change on my abdomen, near the uteras. Im tired alot. Like it just hits me out of nowhere.

Please help me understand this.

ps ive taken tons of tests but they come out negative. Ive heard some women have to take a blood test for it to show up. I also know they are very sensitive and i didn't always do them right.

when is a baby fully developed as far as lungs, ect. I'm almost 36 weeks and my doc said at my 35 week appt. the rest of the time is my baby just gaining weight. So...does that mean he is fully developed by 37 weeks...? Since full term is considered 37 weeks and on...I know all babies develope too at different rates, because my SIL had her baby at 36 weeks and she was 7lb 14oz...big girl!

UGH i feel like im failing as a mom when i put my son to bed with a bottle. I know its bad for his teeth and im just stuck!> He wont take a sippy cup for anything!!! but he will drink out of a straw a few sips.. but then hes done with it. Im a first time mom and ive got stuck putting my son to bed with a bottle and now im in rut!! How do i quit this?! Just wait till hes dead tired and falls asleep on his own then put him in his crib. Me and my hubby are staying with his mom to help her and i hate to let him scream for an hour and wake everyone up!? has anyone else ever had this problem? or am i the only one!. I have gotten nothing but negative comments about it, but my boyfriend and I both love it. Its Xara Dawn. We already have a son named Xander Matthew. If you dont like it can you please suggest some different but likable names for our daughter due in april. And also say why you dont like the name. I cant figure out why people are so against it. Maybe because its just different. Maybe too different. I have never heard of anyone ever with the name Xara. Please help me.

my 4 month old insists upon me carrying him around at all times. or at the very least i have to be standing while hes in my arms. does anyone have a similar situation? or know why he does this. the minute i sit down with him in my arms he screams until he gets his own way and i stand up. i cant live my life like this. he doesnt enjoy anything but this. we do tummy time, he has one of the most top of the line saucers, a kick and play, a swing, mobile, peek a boo, baby first tv, we sing to him, read to him... you name it we've tried it!!! all he wants is for me to stand up and hold him. thanks for all the help im desparate!

It is becoming very difficult to feed her the baby food with chunks, she doesnt like the taste ( i dont blame her it taste awful!!) And now she is eating more. She can go through a container of those gratuates finger food snacks in a week if i let her...which I dont!!!! what kind of things can I give her? She only has 2 teeth but she chews things well. Any ideas?

I recently saw the movie American Gangster yesterday, and I was appaled to see a large majority of the kids in the theatre being 12-15 years old. I was thinking of saying to their parents what the hell are you thinking of bringing a teen that age into a movie like this?

I even saw a few kids that looked about 14 walking out of SAW Iv with their parents, and I was just shocked. I was about to complain to the managment for movies like this, that should be completely illegal for anyone under 18 to see an R rated movie in theatres.

What do you think about this?

okei, so a while ago, i broke up with my bf for treating me bad, then we got back together and we have been together for 2.5 years(3years next week), and so today, we got in an argument over god knows what and he hit me, he actually hit me, i cannot believe he hit me, and now he says he is sorry but i dont belive him and idk y. he is 17(just turned 17 last month) and im 14, and im not telling on him, but should i forgive him and take him back or no?
