Hello...we had our baby last Tuesday (yay!) and since we've come home we've had a little difficulty with the breastfeeding. She latches on to my right breast with no problems but it's the left breast that she has difficulty coming on too. Any ideas, suggestions, help would be appreciated. Also, how concerned should I be that she's only liking on breast? Could this create a problem down the road?

okay to do? She was watching my two daughters for several hours and when I came to pick them up her son was wearing the pretty dress my 5 year old daughter had arrived in. Apparently he kept flipping up her dress and laughing at the really silky panties she was wearing. I had packed a pants outfit for my daughter and extra undies so that is what she was now wearing. Anyway my poor cousin looked adorable in the dress and my daughters loved the fact that he was also wearing the girly panties. My sister in law thought that the punishmnet fit the crime but I still wonder what her hysband would have thought?
What do you think?

I just asked a question on my son. He is 5 months old and he is a happy baby. BUT when he is tired, he screams for hours. I hold him and sing, and rock, and everything. He fights and fights. He has done this since birth when he gets overtired. He does this a the middle of the night. I even sleep with him. Finally last night I put him in his play pen and let him cry. I went to him often to talk to him and give him affection. I nursed him 3 times and he cried ALL night. He slept for about an hour or two. I don't know what to do. When he gets overtired, he does not submit to it. He is not in pain... just VERY grumpy. I asked a question and joeybowiesmom, who is a top contibuter said that she cannot beleive that I would let my baby cry. And that I am SELFISH (she had that in caps), and she said that I think of no one but myself. My son cries for hours whether I hold him or not when he is overtired. Other than that he is a happy baby. How can people be so mean and be a top contributor?

im pretty concerned about his hip popping....
it doesnt seem to hurt him at all, and he moves his legs around like crazy, so I know there arent any problems that way, but what could be causing this? It pops whenever i lift his bum up to change his diaper, and also just whenever he moves around lot.

I'm not talking about fast food like Burger King or McD's I'm talking about things we give to our children to eat right at home. What things do we feed our children that we think are not so bad but in actuality are really unhealthy? I bet there may be things that would surprise us as to how bad they are.

How can we avoid these things?

We have a 4 week old and my wife is breastfeeding. She has been to 3 different lactation consultants and 3 different doctors. She has been prescribed meds for both a breast yeast infection and mastitis, but still has the pain. She has had the pain ever since the first few days after delivering. The pain is a constant burning/aching throughout both breasts all the time. No engorgement. She nurses every 3 hours. She wants to continue breastfeeding, but the pain is becoming overwhelming. Our newborn does have a tight latch and occasionally bites down, but the pain is not just at the nipple but throughout.
Any help/insight/experience with this is deeply appreciated. Happy Holidays.

I have been married to Tom for 4 yrs. Tom has a 8 yr old son from his last marrage that he loves to death and so do I. I have been in his sons life since he was 2 ys old. For every b-day/x-mas Tom and I always go in on gifts for his son and sign the gifts from both of us. Well this yr for x-mas Tom wants to get him a guitar as he use to play in a band and its always been "his" dream for his son to follow in his foot steps. This is a very special gift as this is all Tom talks about and he has put a lot of time in making sure everything is perfect. Well the other day Tom told me he wants me to get his son something else as he just wants the guitar to be from him not both of us. I'm hurt about this as we allways put the gifts from both of us and if this is so speical why is he excluding me from this his wife. Please tell me an I over reacting?

Am I selfish for that? I see so many minorities getting pregnant young and having 2 or 3 babies even before they are old enough to drink, but I made it to 30 and I still don't have kids. I don't know if I want kids yet because I know how hard life can be. I've had a tough life and I've had really bad depression since my teenage years. I don't want to bring more humans into this unfair world. If things get better I might change my mind though.

I've been away for most of the pregnancy since I've been deployed (military) but I want to make it as special as I can. I've got a belly cast already and are doing Maternity photos. Is there any thing else I could do?

Hi all, this is my first time on here and I really need some advise. I am currently living in France and cannot speak to anybody to get help.
Basically my period was 1 day early (Sunday 25th Nov 2007) lasted about 3-4 days but was light and on and off. I have also had cramp in my stomach and a very strange feeling, I also fainted on Wednesday 28th Nov, have nausea and now my boobs are leaking a clear liquid, I am also having problems sleeping and am always tired.
I went to the doctors and had a blood test to test for pregnacy but it was negative...BUT I am still convinced I am pregnant.
Could it have been to early for the test if I had only stopped bleeding 2 days before the blood test???????

Please help...do you think I could be pregnant???

Thank You

Vick

I am 20 weeks and 2 days pregnant with twins. A few days ago I thought I was leaking amnio fluid. I spent hours in the hospital, to find out it is my bladder. The doctor in the e.r. put me on bed rest, no sex, and no lifting. My regular doctor feels that because I am in my second trimester that I should be out of work and resting, not doing anything that may cause stress or bodily discomfort. My question is how does disability work? How long will I get it? If it runs out then what do I do? What are other options to help out with the money situaution? My husband makes decent money, but not enough to support us and to have extra money for baby things. I live in NY and work in a nursing home.

what's happening? is sex before marriage now considered as 'normal' for most people, as if nothing's wrong with that? and ... how about having a baby before marriage? is it considered very normal nowadays? i'm really scared ... ... because for me, a girl's virginity should be kept until her marriage! ... and i wonder how could this world turned out like that ... ? or i'm the one who're still old-styled, or fuddy duddy, or whatever!
