Wasn't what we expected. My wife had to be induced 15 days after her due date, it took 2 round and still nothing. They had to break her water at 10pm (which the pelvic exams hurt more than the baby she says) and she took the epidural at 12am slept 5 hours woke me up at 5am because she was crowning and we started labour "pushing & stuff" 25 minutes later We had a baby girl. It's not like you see in the movies, the other women screaming like there being tortured (i know, it's not easy I'm just saying). The hospital was so cold , and the parade of different staff all day & night. But it's always worth it holding your baby for the first time and looking down at them....there is no better or scarier feeling in the world.

Sawman, I will tell you this much... the first one was hell because I had no idea what to expect and was in labor for a whole night and half a day before I knew it. Any pain I had was forgotten and gone when I held that little baby in my arms. I do not ever want an apology from my children. Even on the worst of days, it was always worth it.

I have apologized to my parents, but it wasn't after child birth.

It was a lot easier than I expected. For months I told myself that I would never be able to handle the pain in the hope that if I imagined the worse case senario, it can only get better. And it worked! Although my third was back to back - that was a beggar!!!

LOL
when i was a teen, my mother always said, "i hope you have a child just like you." she got her wish. i now say that to my son.
i apologized to my parents when my son started putting me through the same stuff i put them through.
childbirth was nothing like i thought it would be. if my 3rd child had been my first child, he would have been an only child.

It wasn't what I expected at all. I had to have a c-section so I was pretty disappointed but overall it wasn't a bad experience.
