you have been trying for awhile but it doesn't sound like you've tried everything. with pcos sometimes it is a matter of getting the formula right.
i have pcos and am TTC. i only started meds 3 months ago, but i know from research and experience how much is out there. nonetheless, i know how frustrating the process can be. i want a baby so bad too. i dream of holding my baby all the time and that is painful but i know i have options.
1) 1250mg of metformin may not be enough. most women do not see the positive effects of metformin until they are on at least 1500mg. i would see if you cld go up to 2000mg.
2) have you tried fertility drugs? metformin is not enough to induce ovulation in some women. and even when it does some women still need a fertility drug to produce a better quality egg. you can try fertility drugs with or without a trigger shot.
3) have you been able to ovulate at all. this is the first step. once you are ovulating then i wld strongly advise using artificial insemination to increase your chances.
3) has hubby been checked? don't assume that pcos is your only fertility issue.
4) dexamethasone is another drug that can be used along with fertility drugs to increase your responsiveness to fertility drugs.
5) ovarian diathermy, a surgical procedure is another option
6) and of course there is invitro

you are 25 so as painful as it is remember that you have time on your side.

i know it hurts. i know how much it hurts. don't give up. and keep gettig second and third opinions. i have been to 4 RE's. if you are not getting results then find someone else. do not give up.
