I don't know the total...but I've seen the bills so far...2 doctors visits--totalling $338.....the initial bloodwork was $4000....I have more bloodwork and an ultrasound in two weeks and that's going to be expensive...plus I still have 24 weeks left and who knows what else I will have to have done. It gets pretty expensive. I have medical insurance now, so I don't have to worry about paying it...they cover back bills as well. If you don't have insurance and are pregnant, I suggest going to the welfare office and getting the access card. You will probably be automatically qualified if you are pregnant...unless you are rich or something. Good luck.

That all depends on where you live, which hospital, etc. The total cost of pregnancy and delivery for my first baby, in Ohio, was $18,000 and that was only a one night stay for both of us. And, my doc and the hospital worked with us on reducing the price. My son was born with medical problems via c-section, and the cost of his delivery plus one night stay for both of us was $68,000

that will be very very expensive! i would say... approx. $20,000 or up. if you are low-incomer, go for medicaid. it covers everything during pregnancy.
