He was told to do one of his daily chores and after I discovered he did a half-assed job and left a mess, I made go out and fix it. In the verbal exchange that followed I pushed him because he was taking back to me and he began to "tell me how it was going to be". I put my finger in his chest and pushed him back into a wall. He went and told his mother that I "shoved" him and began to cry. In seeing this my wife began yelling at me saying that I have no right to touch him. Her son is very combative and talks back, has no respect for anyone else and acts like he is "entitled" to all he has or wants. I know that what I did was wrong but he has absolutely NO discipline outside of sending him to his room where he is more than happy to go. He has his own phone, tv, computer and video game players . I'm at the end of my rope and my wife won't go to counseling. I was raised in a strict household with accountability, structure and rules, I feel helpless and am thinking of divorce after 8 yrs!

I went in for a check up. My Doctor decided to give me an ultrasound. I am 10 weeks pregnant. And All we seen was the sac. The Ultrasound said I was 6 weeks. He asked if I was right on my LMP. I said Yes, But the 2 months before that was like 5 days earlier from the last! Well he said that would not put me back to 6 weeks. I did not have a full bladder at all? Could that give me a wrong due date if my bladder was not full?

Ok Im a single mum to be. 13 weeks pregnant. Im 20, and I wont be completely lost for money, I will be able to support myself, but obviously I'll be setting up on a budget.

I was wanting to know where I can find/download or whatever a good baby checklist (not including extravagent unnecessary extras) Just what the baby really will need (It wont be hard finding some extras to buy - i dont need a list for that!)

Im a bit lost at the moment and would prefer a checklist if anyone can advise?

:) Thanks

I just watch this video from our local Houston station about harmful toys for young kids. Around the middle it shows a toddler play with toys in I think a hospital waiting room all dressed up for no real reason other than to look really cute. It now has me wanting to dress my son up. Do you ever dress your kids up like this? Do you think people would think I wierd if I do.

Recently I've asked some questions regarding my reunification with my birthmother (I was adopted at a few weeks old), and the way in which it has being going very negatively. She has, among other things, demanded I cut my parents out of my life, and ignored 3 of my 6 kids because they're not bio kids. I have tried to work with her, encourage her to seek help, etc, but to no avail unfortunately.
Now to my question. As a foster parent, and someone who has worked as a family liason officer, I'm no stranger to adoption horror stories. But I was shocked at the number of people who blamed adoption in and of itself for my birthmother's issues. I understand that a lot of people have suffered a great deal of pain from adoption, and I'm so sorry for them. But sometimes people make their own choices, right or wrong, and adoption certainly isn't always wrong or harmful. So why do so many people still seem to blame adoption itself? I was just looking for an insight, thanks.

It is a VERY cute name, I will give you that. 4 years ago when I had my first son, I considered that name for him...in fact I had never heard it before andI actually thought I had made it up :) But now, like the Michaels and Jennifers of the late seventies/early eighties it is so overused, imo. When I had my youngest in August one of the nurses in the hospital was telling me how many people are naming their kids this and that they all seem to think it's uncommon. Well wake up, it's not! If you like the name and can't agree on anything else, then ok but just remember that when he/she goes to school he/she will be Jayden/ Jaden R. or Jayden/Jaden S. because every other kid has that name :)

Hi.

My wife is 12 weeks pregnant, but yesterday we went to get an ultrasound and were told that the baby had no heart beat. We were worried and had another internal ultrasound but still the same result. No heart beat. The Midwife said that the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks and that my wife had a miscarriage. But there is no bleeding etc. Please tell me it isn't so, because both her and I are very upset.
