I think I could be pregnant, but I am still taking the pill. My period is due tomorrow evening or Sunday morning. Will the hormones in the BC make me have a period even if I am pregnant?

Yes, it is possible for the pill to cause you to have some bleeding even if you are pregnant. Some pregnant women even have what is called "breakthrough bleeding" on the pill, which is when they bleed even when they are not on the week they are supposed to have their period.

It is also possible that you would not get your period at all, or that you would get a very light one. It all depends on which pills you are on (different kinds have different hormones) and also each person/pregnancy is different.

Get a home pregnancy test and take it the first day of your period or the first day you think your period is due. If you get a negative, take another test in a week, before you start your next pack of birth control pills.

By the way, you can get very cheap pregnancy tests at most dollar stores... just a dollar each!!

Good luck.

If you think you're pregnant, you need to stop taking the birth control pills. They will not make you have a period (are you trying to force a miscarriage/abortion with the bc pill??). The hormones can, however, possibly harm the baby.

the only way to find out whether you are pregnant is with a test and a internal checkup.
I would go to see a doctor to make sure the bleeding is not something else.
If you are pregnant you wont have a period more.
But if you stop the pill , sometimes your period can show up earlier.
Read the instructions on the BC box about that.

Yes it possibly can but stop taking the pill because this can cause a lot of problems with your unborn child if you continue to use it.

No. You don't even have a real "period" on the pill, it's actually a withdrawal bleeding.
