My daughter used to do the same thing. I would only give her half as much as usual, but she usually did fine once she was sleeping. I would just keep a close eye on her. Throwing up and sleeping don't mix so please just keep a very close eye!!

She'll probably throw up again. That would depend on why she through up in the first place though. Giving milk after an upset stomach will sometimes cause a repeat puking, othertimes not. My son has been known to throw up water before. Next time I'd suggest simply stating I'm sorry, you can have water only and send her back to bed. I know it's hard, but milk is not good for one's stomach after they've thrown up. I don't think it will cause any damage, although it might cause some minor pain.

My entire family just had a stomach flu. The doctor said no dairy for a few days and we offered our toddler gaterade, ginger ale, or dilute apple juice. Very small doses every 15 minutes or so until the vomitting stops. They need to stay hydrated (and without solids if it is the flu). If it's just a tummy ache, then toast and juice ... just avoid dairy or it could turn into something much worse. Pedialite tastes yucky but you can get it in popsicle form. Even a regular popsicle is good too, or a freezy.

My son is 3 and he has been sick since Wed and he asks for his milk too. I bought the store brand of the Pedia-sure vanilla flavored drink. There is no milk in it. I told him it was like a milkshake and he drank it. I also don't give him pop unless he is sick and then it is only Sprite (No caffiene). He couldn't keep the pedialyte down so the sprite was better for him.

Vomit contains hydrochloric acid which tends to burn and irritate the throat. Milk usually soothes the irritation. However, if throwing up is a result of dairy product intake, then your child may be lactose intolerant. If the condition persists take your child to the doctor.

Any thing.
If my kids start spewing they want milk. Then they spew more! It is so yuck. My 3yo niece is the opposite and milk settles her belly.

gatorade and powerade are more tasty and have the same effects. Like someone mentioned earlier, sprite works well too. NO CAFFEINE!
