to find out if the dad is the real dad.

My baby is one month old (!!!) and she latches on perfectly to the left side but has difficulty latching on and staying on the right side. I've tried all different positions to help her out on the right side, but even when she DOES get a good latch on the right side she doesn't stay on near as long as the left. My mom said that if I let her eat more on the left side, my left breast will be bigger than my right one when I quit nursing.
I pretty much have no choice but to let her eat more on the left side because she comes off the right side (she'll eat for like 10 minutes max on the right side, and then 30 more on the left side after that!)
Advice? And do you think what my mom said is true??

What are some things that you think are NOT being done, that could be done, to lower teen sex rates, and thus the physical effects of teen sex?

I was working for a huge Risk Management company in London and had a 6 month probabtion period, at 3 months i was told that my work was not up to standard and i was to improve so probabtion was extended by another 3 months (9 months total) I told them i was 13 weeks pregnant about 2 weeks after this and then 2 weeks later i was called into the office saying i still was not improving even though i thought i had and i had been working so hard, the examples they gave me i argued but was not taken seriously, they asked me what i wanted to do , i said stay and they said you either resign or go through disciplinary i felt so on the spot and asked if i could go away and think about it i was told no, so in tears i finally resigned not wanting the stress of disciplinary. Could i take this further do you think? I keep thinking if i had not told them about the pregnancy i would still be there.

How did it work for you to not have health insurance?

Money is really tight these days and my husband and I are going to stop our insurance. But we are going to put our daughter who is almost 2 on CHIP. (Children's Health Insurance in Pennsylvania).

So my question is for parents.. What are the pros and cons of not having health insurance for yourselves?

and has anyone used CHIP and did you like it?

Thanks everyone!

I just want to buy him some cute "crib shoes", but I can't figure out what size he would wear. Is it a size 1 or 2? How does this work with how old your child is? I tried to find it online, but can't find anything.

He wants to go live with his dad. He says he hates my grandmother (we live with her and my husband) because she bugs him all the time. She is 81 and can hardly walk, she is hard of seeing and hearing. All she has for him is love, and I feel like I have totally failed him as a mother. I am so upset I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry, but with all those tests, a crapload of homework and classwork, I need a break. I'm just too exausted to do anything, Every time I'm exhausted, I never focus in school, even when I'm on Adderol XR. I go to sleep at 9:00pm sometimes earlier and I still end up tired. Every day the same thing, tests essays homework etc. I wanna ask mom if I can just take the day off. JUST ONE DAY, I need to relax. Please dont mention weekends, I have to do twice as much homework there than on school days.Sometimes, I don't go to sleep until 2-3am, because of homework, and I started at 4:pm. Every day headeaches, I have deadlines and stuff. I wanna ask mom, but she said no. I told her 12th graders can skip school.

If you needed a break should you skip school? I just need to get rid of all the tension.

Everytime my energy runs out, I have a hard time focusing and get any work done. Sometimes, I can't complete any assignments because I have other stuff to complete. I never have time for m

My husband and I currently reside in TX and are looking to foster-to-adopt or adopt a child. Any personal experience you would like to share with us would be appreciated. If any of you know anything specific about being active duty military and wanting to adopt, any specifics on that would be great.
Thanks

I have a son that's going on 7 years old he has been wetting his pants now for about a year, on and off during the months. He has now started crapping himself even around his friends and while doing activities. Laziness or medical? Hubby and I put in pullups again till he can go wtihout having the accidents so to speak, however it really doesn't effect him. He stays dry in them and then has the results in his underwear when he gets them back. Suggestions welcome !

I heard from someone recently that a study was done with lavender baby body washes and it was determined that it causes femininity in male baby's. I personally find this to be ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I would like to see some legit study's that prove or show, one way or the other so i can bring this information to the people in question. Or be completely stunned if it is true. Thank you.

I'm an adult adoptee, basically I had a positive adoption experience, won't go into details, but my parents were always open and honest, etc, gave me all info about my birthparents, etc.
Basically, so many other adoptees tell me that I'm 'repressing' negative feelings or anger, I've been told to read Primal Wound by just about every adoptee I've met, lol.
It just didn't strike a chord with me. Your experiences?

My 2 year old's behavior is out of control, & i dont know what to do anymore. I have literally read every parenting book, & have even taken aprenting classes with my husband, but nothing that we try is helping. Punishments, time outs, spankings dont help either. &ignoring him just makes his behavior worse!

Yesterday was by far the worst day. On our way out to go grocery shopping, our 2 year old kicked the back of my legs while we were going down the front steps of our house. I fell, & hurt my knee badly. Our son thought it was hillarious, even when i was crying.

At the grocery store, he refused to walk, and threw himself on the floor. When we tried to get him up, he kicked my husband & ran down the isle, knocking things off the shelf.

On the way home, he unbuckled his car seat and tried to get out of his carseat. We pulled over to fix it & he stiffens his body up , making it hard to buckle him.

If you have nothing nice to say or aren't a parent, dont waste my time please

My only son just turned 1 in september. We have two girls(5&2). We are now expecting our 4th child and my son is so rough. He hits and kicks and its all in play but he doesn't listen when I tell him to stop. We don't play with him this way(the hitting). Its painful to me when he does it.
I need advice on how to teach him its not okay to hit mommy or anyone else.

Should a single parent have another adult who is the same sex as their child teach them instead? Why or why not?
(in my scenario, the child is comfortable with their parent teaching them)

Mom is tired but still put three squares of meal in front of son
Mom loves him dearly and would give her life for him eventhough hes grown
Grown daughter is living by herself independently working and paying her way through life because mom taught her girls must be strong and not let men rule them. Shes been on her own since 18. Shes a payroll secretary/
Son does. nothing
Mom feels its best that he entertain in her home rather than out there in the world where he might get into trouble. He loves the attention. Daughter resents his attitude
I say Treat both the same. Its unfair to him. She enabing him to be a grown child. He should be on his own too. Mom still works eight hour shift and dasjhes home to feed her boyfriend who doesnt work and her son.

They are apparantly made up of cartilage, and bones begin to develop soon after birth ?
What do you think?

I've been ttc since September 07, and have been using an ovulation calendar. Last month, we knew this would be it, we ttc everyday on my fertile days! But...no prego. I'm healthy, take prenatals since June 07, excercise regularly....but my cycle is only 26 days. My cycle has fluctuated btwn 26-27, this has always been the norm for me....is it too short to conceive? All ideas are welcomed!
