Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 November 2007

I recently wrecked my car, luckily my son wasn't with me, but until I get the insurance and everything settled I'm going to be using my step-fathers 96 volvo. I tried to attach my car seat into it earlier today but I was unable to do so. It's a Graco car seat, a convertible one that is strapped into the car at all times. The volvo doesn't have anchors between the crease of the seats and the only tethering point it has is on the back window area which doesn't help because i still need it as a rear facing seat. If anyone had kids in car seats in the last 10 years and knows how to help please let me know! Thanks a ton!

I have the name Kayla Victoria as our favorite name for if we have a girl next. It has so much meaning to both of us since it means crown Laurel and Laurel was my husband's grandfather's name who passed away and the two of them were very close. AND Kay is my grandmother's first name who I am very close to. Victoria is my Mom's name also and we are more than just Mother and daughter, more like good friends.
I just saw a site online that says Kayla is 26 in popularity and the ending's are both A sounds so I don't know now about this name now that we both like so much.

My almost 3 month old baby and I sometimes watch BabyTV channel together. I talk to her about the program and sing the songs along to her they sing.

When I am changing her in the living room she looks up to the tv. I can be talking to her and she still watches the TV. If I am in the way she gets mad. If I turn it off so I cant talk to her while I'm changing her she gets mad.

My mother-in-law says that her watching TV can cause her to have seizures.

before i get any negative comments...I DONT PLOP HER IN FRONT OF THE TV & LEAVE HER FOR HOURS! I may fix a bottle, run to the bathroom, or answer the phone.

My mom is still freaking out about finding my BF fingering me yesterday. I think I'm more nervous than my son. We are attempting to run 2 errands this morning for the first time wearing only 'big boy' underpants. I plan on timing this to 45-50 minutes. It's about a 6-7 minutes drive. The 2 stores are next to each other-no browsing-I'll grab what I need and leave. I've already scoped out the bathrooms-in the back of the store!
