My 9 yr old broke her big toe at school on Thurs, she still can't walk on it. She stands on it on the opposite side of her foot. How long should she stay home from school?

What did the doctor say? I would imagine if it were that painful, he/she would wrap it in something, either ace bandage, or a protective boot, and have her use crutches. There's really no reason she would have to stay home from school. Maybe take a pass on gym class, but she should be able to go to school unless the doc says otherwise.

if it was broken on thursday she should go to school monday a broken toe is not quite bad enough to stay home from school for..... and she won't be able to walk on it until she tries just start with not pressure but have it on the floor and one it is more or less healed put some pressure on it and so on.

good luck and feel better soon ;p

A broken big toe should not keep her out of school. I would get her some crutches and send her back.
