Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 November 2007

Today i took my to kids casey and Tyler to the mall. they're 4 and i knew that the mall had a lot of bad people up to doing bad things. So i had only taken them one other time. And i really wish i hadnt taken them today. I went to coach at the mall to look for a new purse they came in to. And as i was in the checkout line, two boys came up to my kids. They looked like fine kids they looked about 11 years old, they didn't look like they would bother two 4 year olds. They came up to CAsey and said " hey nice toy you got there." she said " yup" and then the other boy said " can i see it please?" and she said " ok but be careful." they said "sure." the boys started faking and saying " oh cool look its pink!" but then they ran out the store with the toy.! Thats when I left the line, The boys were running down the hall and then they ran to the escalator and Dropped the toy right down 5 floors down. they ran for it i couldnt catch them. i got the toy back. what should i have done after?

This boy kissed me at school Tuesday, but he is my friend's boyfriend. At lunch he told people that he kissed me but I denied it.

We were in the hallway and I joked and said his breath was stinky and to get me back he caught me off guard, blew his breath in my face and accidentally kissed me. I don't count this as my first kiss and what if his girlfriend, my friend finds out? I need help!

I have 2 daughters 8.5 and 10.5 y/o. My oldest is budding, I've noted this since spring time. I think it's time for "the talk". Since I've never done this I'm looking for lots of help here.
1. Do I include her sister too? They are very close and the 8 y/o is very bright.
2. Do I do this in a few sessions. Talk about periods 1st. And the birds & bees at a later time?
3. Since I'm a guy, what would be the best way to explain this?
4. What are all the questions I need to be able to answer?
5. My oldest is a little shy, how do I handle this?
6. Is there anything I've left out?
7. How do I handle my nevousness?

My parents never had "the talk" with me so this is all new. How did it go for you? I'm very sincere about my question.

I'm sitting here examining myself as all pregnant women do I'm sure... Sorry if tmi, but my breasts were itching and I scratched and squeezed and I thnk my colostrum has kicked in... what color is it supposed to be and do I need to break out the nursing pads???? Any advice?????

i'm constantly tired.. last night i slept for 12 hours, i fell asleep at 10:00 and woke up at 9 (plus one hour with the clock changes) and yet i STILL took a 2 hour nap... this is getting completely ridiculas. I'm 15 years old and i shouldn't have to take naps during the day lol. usually during a regular school week i got to bed at 10 or 11 and wake up at 6, then i have to take a nap when i come home or else i'm just completely miserable =P (i usually take a nap maybe 3 or 4 out of five school days) thats pretty sad...and on the weekends i usually catch up on all my sleep by sleeping in but yet i still find myself tired. is there something wrong with me that i'm sleeping so much? lol

Does Kailyn (pronounced Kay-Lynn) Rose Gordon or Kailyn Ryleigh (Riley) Gordon sound better? I picked Rose for the middle name, after my grandmother that recently passed away and my husband picked Riley...but I changed the spelling to Ryleigh because it looks prettier that way. We like both names but we can't decide which one to go with. Any ideas?

what is this?!
i changed my baby girls diaper today and there were a bunch of clear gel crystal like things, almost like that silica gel stuff, it looked kind of weird and it was only around her girl parts, not down into the rectal area.

any ideas? is it something to be concerned about?

oh-- and we use huggies diapers (i hate them, i'm ready to get back to the pampers haha) but i was wondering if maybe it was from the diaper??

Hey there!

My mother and my grandmother have been the driving forces in my life, and I'm planning on naming my daughter in honor of them both.

My mother's name is Karen Christine and my grandmother's is Alice Marie.

I was thinking of the name Kari Marie.

Ok well here's the deal. My friend and I want to start a baysitting service and we are both 12 years old. My mom and her's will not let us until we take a special CPR class in case something happens to the child. But the only problem is that i don't know where to take those classes?? Any idea??

Ok he is at work and I understand he is busy he was home on wed when I passed the first I was home with my 3 yr old when I passed the second well today I am still having the cramping and bleeding which I know is normal but I mentioned when he gets home I wanted to go to the er and he was like well I don't kn w when I am coming home and like well if thats what you wanna do does he not realize there could be something still there and it could cause a serious infection

Ok I know this is not an exact science and my baby will just arrive when he is good and ready, but just curious as to when you think my little boy will come, based on your previous experience of labour...

*1st pregnancy, 38 weeks today

*baby been engaged for more than 3 weeks, VERY LOW now, head was felt by midwife a week ago during examination

*very strong but very irregular braxton hicks for weeks, have got very painful the last few days, also sharp pains in lower abdomen and vagina..

*whitish globby mucus for a few days now (mucus plug??) no blood yet though, but today had a tinge of green (sorry if tmi!!)

*midwife said she will be very surprised if I make my due date....what do you think??!!!

If you had your period on october 19. Do you always ovulate 14 day right after? If that is the case i shold have started ovulating around November 1 or so. I noticed the mucous secretions on Tuesday ( the 30). Does that seem to soon to start ovulating? Or do you see the secretions right befor you start to ovulatate. I am so confused

I have a 2 1/2 week old baby who falls asleep within a minute or 2 after latching on and stops sucking. I have tried the cheek/chin stroking, rubbing his head, stimulating vigorous backrubbing, feet tickling and stripping him down to a diaper when nursing. These will get him to suck a few times, then back to sleep. He lost just over 10% of his body weight in the hospital, and at 2 weeks was 2 oz shy of hitting his birthweight so the doc has me supplimenting with a bottle after each feeding, but I'd rather correct the issue with sucking. Any suggestions?
