Does Kailyn (pronounced Kay-Lynn) Rose Gordon or Kailyn Ryleigh (Riley) Gordon sound better? I picked Rose for the middle name, after my grandmother that recently passed away and my husband picked Riley...but I changed the spelling to Ryleigh because it looks prettier that way. We like both names but we can't decide which one to go with. Any ideas?

I like Kailyn Rose better because I think there are too many Rileys and Kayleys nowadays. Ryleigh will sound cute when she's little but won't work too well when she's older.
Kailyn is nice name but I prefer it spelt Kaylynn. It will be easier to pronouce so people won't have to second guess. But I guess that Kailyn will look nicer because then you won't have two Y's, how about Kailynn?
Rose is a classic traditional name. Very feminine and will work with she's little (NN Rosie) and when she's older too.
I like Kailynn Rose better but good luck with whatever you choose :)

Kailyn Rose, hands down.

First, Rose honors your grandmother, and so has personal significance. That trumps pretty any day!

Second, Kailyn is something of an super-trendy name, as is Ryleigh. Should your daughter grow up and decide that she dislikes her given name (don't most girls at some point?), she has the option of becoming K. Rose, a very different name, but still the one you chose for her.

Third, Kailyn Rose flows far better than Kailyn Ryleigh. Kailyn, Ryleigh and Gordon all have two syllables, and similar emphasis - that's a little awkward.

Go with Kailyn Rose. It's got significance, rhythm and a classic charm.

Kailyn Rose sounds nice. I think that in honor of your grandmother is way more important than a opinion of your husband. I love your choice of changing it to Ryleigh but I still think Rose is much prettier for a girl

Kailyn Rose seems to flow easier, but Kailyn Ryleigh sounds pretty too. You have a tough decision on your hands... Either choice is a good one though, so don't worry too much! Good luck!

i like both names but i prefer kailyn rose as it has meaning behind the name and rose is a traditional and classy middle name. ryleigh sounds like it would be better suited to a first name. but it is up to u which u pick

Def ROSE. I think its PRETTY and more classic than Ryleigh.
I personally do not care for the way Ryleigh is spelled and in general Riley to me is a boy or a dog, although I knew a little girl named Riley once. (I hope that doesn't sound mean) I think you have a great name with Rose as the middle and a great family link.

Whatever you choose...Congratulations!

Kailyn Rose. Ryleigh is trendy and spelled wrong. And having three two-syllable names with the emphasis on the first syllable sounds monotonous.
