Contact your local fire station. They can usually let you know where to sign up for infant/child CPR and first aid classes. Check with your local Girl Scout council because they usually know where you can sign up for babysitting courses.

Call your local hospital, or there are often classes offered for babysitters from the YMCA, local colleges, the Red Cross, Ameri-Med, or the American Heart Association. All offer classes on pediatric CPR/First Aid, and will give you a certification of up to two years (for the certified classes- make sure you get a certified card at completion of the class). Often classes from the YMCA or local colleges are the least expensive, and are often geared to the needs of babysitters.

it's a great idea to be certified in CPR, infant CPR, and first aid before babysitting.
You can take these classes at a YMCA, red cross, or local hospital.

Look in the phone book and contact the local RED CROSS or you local board of education... Most locations offer classes to young adults for around $30 for a two day session. It's very, very informative and useful.. Good luck

The American Red Cross offers a babysitting course....you will also need to know basic first aid, such as the Heimlich maneuver for infants and toddlers.

I work at an Adult Developmental day center. We offer classes to the public if anyone is interested. You could find a local center and call the program coordinator and see if this is available in your area.

Try the YMCA - they often offer babysitting courses that include CPR. Or you can call your local fire department - they will definitely know who offers CPR courses.

yes-forget it.you're too young.kids under the age of 16 are classed as 'minors' and a minor cannot look after a minor.i certainly wouldn't let a 12 year old babysit my kids.
