Hey there!
My mother and my grandmother have been the driving forces in my life, and I'm planning on naming my daughter in honor of them both.
My mother's name is Karen Christine and my grandmother's is Alice Marie.
I was thinking of the name Kari Marie.
Thoughts? Feel free to come up with other combinations, any ideas are appreciated :)

Kari is cute for a little girl, but think about a grown woman. Why not name her Karen Marie, but CALL her Kari? Christine Alice or Marie are nice, too. So are Marie/Alice Christine.

I think Kari is cute, but not substantial enough for a formal name. How about Karenna Marie, or better yet, Karenna Alice?
Karenna is fresher than the dated Karen, gives her a name that is all her own and still gets you the cutesy girlie nickname of Kari.
How lovely to name your daughter after two such important women in your life. If I have a daughter, I intend to do the same.

That's a sweet idea! I like the idea, but I think that Kari is a nickname. How about Katherine Adelaide? Karen is the Danish form of Katherine, and Adelaide is the French form of Alice.

Kristin Maritza
Christabella Marie
Alicia Kaitlyn

That is so sweet, Kari Marie is a beautiful name. I think Kari Alice would be even better, though. It has a nice ring to it, plus Marie is such a common middle name. Good luck!

A variation of Alice could be Allison, or Alicia, as a variation of Karen is Kari, or Karena.
A mix of Karen and Alice is Karise (Ka-Reese) or Karissa/Carissa, or Ariana.
A mix of Christine and Marie could be Carrie, Christy/Christie or Chrissy, or Maureen.
You could mix any of these names to honor both your grandmothers.

I think that Kari Marie is a beautiful name... it is still different enough so that your daughter has her "own" name and trendy enough that it sounds young and fresh.
I really love the tribute. It is a name truly chosen with love and I think that it it perfect!

I think that that is a really cute idea! I wouldn't name your child Kari, it doesn't seem like a full name to me. Marie is a great middle name and is very easy to pair with other names. I think a great idea would be to do Christina Marie, a modern name and you still get to honor your family! Best of Luck!
