i'm constantly tired.. last night i slept for 12 hours, i fell asleep at 10:00 and woke up at 9 (plus one hour with the clock changes) and yet i STILL took a 2 hour nap... this is getting completely ridiculas. I'm 15 years old and i shouldn't have to take naps during the day lol. usually during a regular school week i got to bed at 10 or 11 and wake up at 6, then i have to take a nap when i come home or else i'm just completely miserable =P (i usually take a nap maybe 3 or 4 out of five school days) thats pretty sad...and on the weekends i usually catch up on all my sleep by sleeping in but yet i still find myself tired. is there something wrong with me that i'm sleeping so much? lol

There are a lot of reasons for this- none of which could be diagnosed over the internet (mono, thyroid, etc). I would suggest going to see your doctor to get an answer. He/she will probably ask for a blood test before being able to properly diagnose the reasons. It is completely treatable, though, if it is a medical problem.

It is so sad that people automatically jump to the conclusion that you might be pregnant when you are only 15. Anyway, editorials aside, you need to tell your parents about how you are feeling. You could have any number of sleep related disorders or hormonal imbalances. Or it could be something as simple as not getting the right nutritional requirements. Only your doctor can tell you what's really going on.

I would go to the doctor and get it checked out just in case. It could be
Anaemia
Type 1 Diabetes
Thyroid problem
Mono
or a million other things. It's unlikely it's anything serious unless you have other symptoms at the same time eg thirst, hunger, feeling generally ill...
Good luck, but I'm sure you'll be fine!

Enough sleep is different for everyone. The only way to see how much sleep you really need is to let yourself naturally fall asleep and wake up. Notice the clock before you go to sleep and when you wake up and the hours between tell you how much sleep you really need. If you have started your periods then your next cycle may be starting and just draining your and if it just ended that could also be draining you.

It's just a teenage thing, i guess.
Most teens are tired, because their systems are actually programmed to stay up late and sleep in.
Waking up early disturbs that a little bit=)
Just eat healthy, go to bed at a decent time, and you should be fine.
If you are worried, talk to a doctor=)

You may have Mono. I had it and was tired ALL the time. Plus, you're a teenager- you need lots of sleep.
I need help with myself-

Does your sleep get interrupted? Because that can cause you to be tired reguardless of how much you slept.

Could be thyroid problems or pregnancy. Or possibly even anemia.
