Ok I know this is not an exact science and my baby will just arrive when he is good and ready, but just curious as to when you think my little boy will come, based on your previous experience of labour...
*1st pregnancy, 38 weeks today
*baby been engaged for more than 3 weeks, VERY LOW now, head was felt by midwife a week ago during examination
*very strong but very irregular braxton hicks for weeks, have got very painful the last few days, also sharp pains in lower abdomen and vagina..
*whitish globby mucus for a few days now (mucus plug??) no blood yet though, but today had a tinge of green (sorry if tmi!!)
*midwife said she will be very surprised if I make my due date....what do you think??!!!

To Havanah-h, Im not worried just bored, why would I be worried?!
Also, In the UK (well at my doc anyway) they do not check for dilation and effacement so I have no idea if I have started to dilate yet :(

I have two babies and I would day withing the next 4-5 days you will begin real labor.
I think that you are losing your mucus plug and wish you all the best.
Congratulations!

I am no doctor but I would say you have a good chance. I am 39 weeks with my second child and am having to be induced due to the fact my body won't do anything. I think from what you are describing it sounds like your body is preparing and on its way. I would talk to your midwife and let them know if you haven't already, just in case.

First pregnancies are notorious for going late....(mine was an exception and I went a whole month early)
BUT after reading all your symptoms...I would say that anytime in the next few days could be a good guess.
Good luck and labor vibes coming your way

I just had a baby so I SO know how you feel. Ready to have him/her out huh? However every mommy is different. You really can't tell. Although the mucus plug is a sign of oncoming labor, it could be tonight, it could be another wk.. who knows. But my guess is sooner than later. =]
